Empire Level 4008 96-Inch Aluminum Straight Edge

It was no doubt difficult to ship but it arrived in perfect condition.

I used it to mark the angles on sheets of OSB board I was laying upstairs in my new garage. Some of the sheets needed to be angled so this worked perfectly because it was long enough to span the entire board.

Ordered this for my husband, who needed it for his workshop. The ruler itself, with the measurements is a nice ruler, but due to the packaging, it arrived a bit bent. He just laid it flat on ground and laid a heavy object on the bend to straighten it, it worked.He does industrial sewing and woodworking, so always has needed a long ruler, so this was a great find for him.It's silver, measures up to 96 inches, and easy to store in a corner or hanging on the wall on a hook. There is a hole on one end so you can hang it.The measurements are on one side only, but on the one side, both ends. The price wasn't bad, not for a useful tool he needed.DISCLAIMER: I purchased this item at full price.

It is a good product, good markings, and good quality. The only problem is they shipped it as is no box. Showed up bent can’t really blame the delivery person. It should have been shipped in a round tube to protect it. Was able to straighten it out. Will work out for me.

Nice straightedge/ruler. Seems accurate and straight, which is exactly what I wanted.Mine arrived in a very long box. Based on some of the other reviews here, that might not always be the case, but it was at least for me.

Rather thin, 3/16 would be my guess, but its straight and thats what I need. Will work as a guide, rather nicely too.
