Moved our 5 home aquariums 6 hours north. Was an 18 hour project, and the aerators were still humming along. Not one fish was lost!

Powerful little things!!!
I usually don’t write reviews but after last nights power outage I felt like I should. I purchased 3 and foolishly forgot enough batteries for all 3. I have 5 fish tanks. One box was powerful enough to supply oxygen to all 5 tanks! Tubes spread all across the living room and into the kitchen. But it kept all 6 tanks and inhabitants alive for the 10 hour power outage!!! Side note..... DONT FORGET ABOUT THE BATTERIES!!!

Funtional
The thing works with slight modification to the clip and hose hole in the plastic protector. Don't throw away the package it comes in. It keeps water out. But to switch it on or change batteries, you have to take the protector off. Anyway, for the price it's good. Two D batteries last a long time.

Peace of mind! I have 5 now
These things are life savers!! I have about 5 now for emergency power outages. I had bought 3 when I was moving my 90 gallon tank 50 mins away. I had to re setup my tank so it held out for hours without me having to rush to get it done. Lately I'm pregnant so lugging my small generator I bought just for the fish tank is harder than before. We kept losing power everytime a storm came in and was out for an hour or two. I didn't want to setup my generator because I live where it wouldn't be out more than 4 hours. This produces a lot of oxygen for my fish and I just decided to make sure I have plenty going to be better safe than sorry. I do have different air stones on mine to produce better bubbles for the fish. My old set that was a different brand didn't hold up long and was extremely loud. These are quiet compared to my other one. I can only hear it in the room the tank is in vs hearing throughout the house with the old ones. That quiet comes in handy when the power is out at night and we want to actually get some sleep.

No brainer for bubbles
Reviewing the comments first I see one person says he used it twice and it worked both times. Then he gave it three stars because he said it might break sometime. Well.Just used mine today. Tossed in two el cheapo 'high power' batteries I got for a buck. Fired the thing up about 4:30 this morning and unplugged it at noon or a little later back at the boat ramp. Ran like a top. I stashed my batteries back in the blister pack for the next round. With nearly 5k reviews what more can be said? Me personal? I like using the shipping container to protect the device. It has the holes in the right places and the batteries load from the front so there is no muss or fuss. Stick it back in the plastic once and you're good to go.I keep my fishing minners in an old round 2 gallon or so water dispenser. You've seen them. Construction guys use them and campers. This time I never lost a single minnow all day. That is a FIRST. I drilled a tube size hole near the top and duct taped a string on top. Used the handy clamp to hold the unit in place. Like I said, worked great...not too noisy. I like it. Fine!

Impressive overall for cost
I have to say that I have been extremely impressed with the performance of this little aerator so far. I've had it running for over 80 hours now on one set of Energizer batteries! Few fatalities happened even with a batch of poor bait as stated from the store. Used with a larger squared off cooler style tank and your bait should only have to worry about your hook. There has been one point where this unit got totally submerged and I was thinking it was destroyed, wrong! I pulled it out of the water and it started coughing and spitting water like I'd done CPR on it and then went back to working like the champ it is. To save money and not have to worry about batteries finally dying unobserved when away I'd recommend buying a plug in aerator for when you are not on the water or en route (my truck actually has one the can be used too). Amazon has some of the plug in aerators priced reasonably as well. one of two of these had the air nozzle break off with no apparent cause after less than a year's use. Granted in the time I've had it used more than most will in a decade.

It was easy to use
I used this bubble box during our move to transport our fish in our 30 gallon saltwater aquarium. Popped all our fish and some live rock in a 5 gallon bucket. They were in there for a total of 36 hours. Around the 24 hour mark I noticed they were losing their color and struggling to breathe. I realized I didn't have the bubbler at the bottom of the bucket, so I mixed up the water and moved the bubbler down to the bottom and they perked right up. All my fish survived the move thanks to this thing! It was easy to use.FYI batteries not included.

Pretty, pretty, pretty good.
I purchased this aerator for a different purpose than most. I wanted to make compost tea for my garden however there is no power out at my garden and didn't want to lug a huge bucket of tea from home. For compost tea you really need a lot of bubbling, I bought two aerators. They came with tubing (fairly short) and little air stones. For those using this for fish, one aerator would suffice for 5 gallons. I wasn't satisfied with the amount of bubbles I got with two so I purchased a third and some better air stones. This is the perfect solution for me. Two D batteries in each lasted over 48 hours (I used the Amazon basics batteries). Now I am buying rechargeable batteries because I hate all the waste. This little pump is a great deal at this price, you've really got nothing to lose.
