This device functions as designed, but the instructions are garbage. Here is what you need to know:1) The dial on the back above the two ports can shut off the water outlet, but beyond that I don’t know what it is intended to do. I just used the outlet to run a condenser and the inlet to take the return.2) I used a gang valve on one of the two vacuum inlets so that I can adjust and maintain a given level of vacuum, because otherwise it just goes to max and stays there. See image. I am not dealing with anything corrosive to metal so I just used a metal aquarium gang valve, which required that I put the vacuum hose over a smaller short hose so it would fit well. I leave the valve with the hose attached open, and slowly close the unattached one until my desired level of vacuum is reached. I will be replacing the valve with something better but my ghetto-rigged gang valve works for now3) The two larger plastic barbs seem to be intended to take a chiller I/O line or tap/drain but are bridged with a provided tube if unused4) The I/O ports I used for my condenser cannot operate independently from the vacuum5) The provided hose smells of what might best be described as pesticides mixed with diesel fuel, no idea what’s up with that but I will likely replace it with something that doesn’t off-gas whatever this does...it’s pretty strong in scent6) The instructions seem to almost be a form of anti-information...once read they annihilate an equal quantity of normal information, leaving you with less than you started with...
