These are definitely a high quality bean and a true medium Roast, (whereas sometimes they can be much too dark for a medium). This coffee is incredibly smooth, there is no need to add milk or sugar or anything! However, flavor notes are very subtle. We are used to a slightly darker Sumatra bean so were expecting more vibrant notes of cacao/ pepper/ etc. But for a medium roast it's perfect.This company also has excellent customer service! Our first bag from Amazon may have experienced some heat damage and weren't the freshest, so we contacted the company and they resolved the issue immediately.I do suggest ordering directly from the roasters for the freshest tasting cup.Would like to try the dark roast next time.

I have ordered several different kinds of coffee beans on Amazon, and I'll be the first to admit that it can be a bit risky. Most of the coffees I've tried have been good, but a few have been disappointing. The reviews don't always tell the whole story because we all have our personal preferences when it comes to what makes a great cup of coffee. So, it was with a bit of caution that I decided to try this Sumatra blend from the Browny Coffee Company. I am really glad I did! It is both delicious and smooth. Makes the whole house smell great. I intend to purchase this again, and I whole-heartedly recommend it.

This Browny Coffee Roasters Sumatra coffee arrived very fresh. The second I opened the bag, and the aroma hit my nose, I knew I was going to be pleased! This is an outstanding, dark roast coffee.. plenty of bold flavor, very little bitterness. As long as they keep roasting this coffee so wonderfully, and delivering it so fresh, Browny coffee roasters has a customer for life!

This is an updated review. I received my first order of this coffee a couple of weeks ago. I was really looking forward to trying this organic Sumatra medium roast coffee from a small roaster in New York city. I was very disappointed because the coffee did not seem fresh. The beans lacked aroma and when brewed just didn't taste right. I tried it in my espresso maker and there was little crema and it tasted acidic and bland. Now, this is very important: I have had experiences in the past with stale coffee from Amazon, even with brands that I am familiar with, like Klatch or Lavazza. So I contacted the roasters and they offered to refund my money. It was clear they take pride in their coffee and were surprised of my experience. So instead of getting a refund, I asked if I could just get a fresh order directly from them to make sure of the freshness. They did send me another shipment and what a difference. I have been drinking between 2 to 4 cups of this coffee every day. This is actually an excellent coffee that has a great flavor profile with good aroma and perhaps stronger flavor than most medium roasts. It has a caramel nutty base with berry top notes and a complexity of flavor that you want to savor. As an espresso you can taste the layers of flavor and it lacks bitterness which is the key to a proper medium roast.If enjoy coffee and and the depth of flavor instead of just a caffeine delivery system, then you must try this medium roast organic Sumatra from Browny Coffee Roasters. (This would be a 5 star coffee if there was a roasted on date on the package. I would have known right away that my original shipment was not fresh which perhaps had nothing to do with Browny Coffee Company, rather time spent in an Amazon warehouse.)

We are always looking for a good dark roast coffee. This coffee has not bitter taste it is nice and smooth. We really enjoy its rich and smooth taste.it is especially tricky to find the right blend and most importantly a dark roast that has no bitter taste because we add Irish butter and High Brain Octane Oil, f and the Collagen Protein from BulletProof and the coffee is great tasting. We tried other coffee's and tasted horrible.BulletProof makes their own BulletProof Coffee which is very good but we like a stronger coffee.

This is a drinkable coffee. It does not have any of the flavor characteristic of Sumatra coffee, however. That disappointed me. It tastes like a decent grocery store blend coffee, mild, not bitter, just . . . drinkable coffee. In that regard, it was a bit disappointing. Three stars, it's OK.

Just love all coffees from Browny!! They are very smooth with bold and complicated aroma. I drink coffee several cups a day and this is perfect for me. I make espresso as well as big pot of coffee in the morning. The coffee is very fresh and remains fresh for a whole day...does not get stale!! I am very satisfied with Browny's coffees!!

I found this coffee as I was searching for Starbucks Sumatra k cups. I enjoy dark roast and these beans were perfect. I'm lucky enough to have a coffee machine that grinds the beans and then brews. House smells amazing and the coffee tastes even better. The coffee is smooth and very aromatic and does not have that acidic taste that I hate. It's definitely a great coffee for the price!
