Kettler Kettrike Bicycle Toe Clips, Bike Pedal Straps for Trikes and Bikes, Yellow

I'm impressed how fast these did the trick and got our son riding. I wish these toe clips would have come with our Kettler tricycle. My son was having a hard time keeping his feet on the pedals as they went around or would not continue to pedal. This is when the free wheel feature worked against us. A fixed pedal would force his feet around when pushed, to get him used to the motion. But he would just let his feet sit on the pedals and they free wheel.These install easily. I tried another reviewer's suggestion to strap the velcro around the back of his sneakers, so he could not pull his feet out. That is definitely the way to go. He spent a few minutes pretty upset with me when he realized he was stuck in the clips and just stomped the pedals back and forth into the brakes. Then, after the first time he accidentally went forward, his eyes went wide open and he got quiet. Another 30 seconds of experimenting and he was flying around, having a blast. It took a few more sessions to get the reverse and K-turns down.If I had known it would be that simple, I would have spent 3 times as much for these on day one.

Looked like a good product, but did not fit a tricycle🙁

This product is awful!! Our daughter needs to use this because she wears a prosthesis and can't feel the petals under her foot. However they do not stay on the pedal. Everytime she tries to pedal her foot pulls the toe clip off the bike. The same thing happens with her other foot. Do not bother to buy this product!!!!

While this is a great concept, these clips don't hold in the feet. The velcro broke the first time we used them. More frustrating than functional.

We've had no problems with the toe clips, and the heel straps work great. We got the tricycle when my son was 18 months old and were able to use the toe clips until he outgrew the strap at 23 months old (boys size 8.5 tennis shoes). His foot still fit into the clips, but the strap wasn't long enough to go all the way around his thick tennis shoe. Barefoot, he would still be able to use them. Most kids his age don't have feet this big, so I imagine that those kids would be able to use the clips longer. It doesn't matter now because at 2 years and two months old, he has figured out how to keep his feet on the pedals without the straps. The clips were worth the money though! Without them, his shoes would have been ruined from dragging his toes over the pavement and gravel, and I would have had to spend more than double the cost of the staps to replace his shoes.

I was looking for something to keep my daughter's feet from dragging while we push her on her trike. We ruined a pair of shoes without realizing it one day! We have used these once, and she didn't seem to mind them. I tried them at first just around the foot as instructed, but she pulled them out pretty quickly. I read other reviews saying they had put the straps behind the heels and found that to work just fine. I won't give it a 5 star rating due to it not working completely as instructed, but I am grateful to have a solution for our dragging problem with my almost 2 year old.

So simple but so important to the little ones.His face lit up when he was finally able to move his trike n his own.

These are real easy to put on and it is great for a toddler who is just figuring out how to pedal, but if you just strap them around the foot his feet tend to come off them sometimes, so we strap it around the heel which holds his feet better in place. I gave it 3 stars because the velcro straps are some what short and can barely make it around the heel, my son does have big feet for his age but still the velcro could have been a tad longer, so three stars for us.
