I gave it this rating because while it does help my back -- it does what it is advertised to do -- when I received the product the metal lever on the side of the rubber bulb was loose. Today, the lever came off altogether. Both screws had come out. Fortunately, I found one on the floor and my husband was able to find another one that would fit and was able to put the lever back on. However, I am surprised that the product started falling apart so soon and with so little use! Also, in retrospect, I should have spent the extra money and bought the device that automatically inflates. Manually pumping the cushion up is difficult for one who has little strength in hand or someone who has arthritis or other disability in hands. That being said, I use the device often and it really helps my low back pain.
