I love this set. I don't think the damage is anything to do with these books so I qont let it effect my rating, however, amazon AGAIN fails to pack books appropriately and there is damage to the box. Since it's a special edition the appearance is really important. I'm sick of making trips to ups an hour away so I'm keeping it but good lord Amazon, get your poop in a group!Also it didn't come with special bookmarks or sprayed edges like the description make it appear they would.

My wife was extremely surprised and happy to see this set Christmas morning.

Beautiful , stunning, words can’t describe how glorious it looks. The cover of the half blood prince is gorgeous. Great addition for any home library. It came with a small poster of Rowena Ravenclaw. The pictures I took simply didn’t do the colors of the books justice because the color is beyond beautiful

Perfect condition and beautiful books. I love them so much. Finally, something that doesn't scream gryffindor.

Gift for my daughter’s birthday - she was so excited!

This is a great collection for anyone who loves the wizarding world and is dedicated to their house (or anyone who would own all of the house books). The attention to detail to encompass the house achievements and presences within the stories and on the design of the books themselves is astounding. That being said, there are some issues to be aware of and to consider when ordering something like this.It is a collector's type item and the amount of nitpicking each collector would do varies on their passion and personal attention to details. Coming from the UK to the USA this package has been through the wringer. Some damages clearly happened before boxing (no outside damage to match inside damage) and some happened during shipping. I was a lucky one that the books received no damage but the box that houses the books was. Some collectors would be upset by this.Before ordering, consider the collector's personality in regards to their other wizarding world collectibles. Take into account the distance it needs to travel to the destination and the demeanor of the local shippers. If you regularly received beat up boxes, this will be no different and there is nothing placed around the item in the box to protect it. No bubble wrap or paper will be around it. Just the shrink wrap pictured and the shipping box itself keeps the item from damage. I hope this helps.

My granddaughter loves reading and Harry Potter is her favorite. So since she's the all A queen this year I wanted a special gift. This did it. Her mother sent me the video of her jaw hanging down to her lap. She was so excited she didn't even know what to say. It's the special Ravensburger edition from England. Talk about hitting this one out of the park. My granddaughter was speechless...that only happens on full moons now let me tell yah! lol!
