Works, but clip is flimsy
This is not the best looking thermometer, but it sure as heck works. A lot of people have been claiming that the markings don't go down far enough, though I've noticed it's best to submerge your wand when the needle starts to climb. It's a must have for people who make their own milk and espresso drinks, and it works well - the readings seem accurate and the glass doesn't fog at all. The only other complaint I have is that the clip doesn't attach securely to the pitcher - there's a lot of wiggle, but I've found that if I clip it near the pitcher handle and hold the flat top of the clip with my thumb, that keeps it steady. I'd also like to note that the clip does hold securely to the needle of the thermometer, which allows you to keep the end in the middle of the pitcher for a more accurate reading.

Excellent accessory
I recently got a new cappuccino maker and bought the frothing thermometer to be sure I was frothing the milk right. It's a simple and effective tool. The dial shows the optimal frothing temperature range and the clip keeps it from wandering around the frothing pitcher while you're steaming the milk. This is a quality product, fairly priced, easy to use. Note: in an earlier review, I suggested a thermometer may not be necessary if you have a lot of experience making cappuccino. I now think it is necessary, to prevent scalding the milk.

The hottest temperature gauge around
It's a temp gauge. It tells you the temperature and then you do your thing. It works, and as far as I can tell, it's giving me the right temp. Just keep in mind that heat (energy) transfer is always delayed (much like high noon is not the hottest time of day) and this will effect the "real" temperature. I use it to make sure my water isn't going to scald my coffee (french press) and I make sure to pull the water off when it's under 170°. A few moments later and it'll rise to just over 170°.Oh, and one cool thing, you can actually adjust the clip. My water pot and my milk frother are two different heights, so I can easily go back and forth. Added kudos' for that!

Improve your froth
Not a bad thermometer for making the perfect froth for your cappucino. Pluses: Temp range for perfect milk temperature highlighted (140-160 deg. F), reasonably priced. Minuses: It should include a plastic protector tube (to prevent inadvertant stabbings...), and it would be nice if the temp gauge went down to 80 degrees. To get a good froth, try dancing the steam wand at the top of the milk until the temp reaches 100 deg.F. As the foam rises, follow it up. At 100 deg.F, push the wand down into the milk until the temp reaches 140-160 deg.F. Have fun!

Works great!
This was a good purchase. I use it everyday and it works great! It gives you an appropriate temperature range for the milk so you will have to find the temperature that you prefer. The first time I used it I heated it to the top of the shaded temperature and it was way too hot! I find that the middle range temperature works best for me. I have had it for about a month now and I have no complaints.

It works great
We purchased a Cap maker for Christmas but neglected to think ahead to how we would know when the milk was ready for our Latte. Ordered this little beauty on Prime and voila. The 140 t0 160 degrees are perfect for our drinks. It clips very easily to our little stainless milk container too!

Love it!
I realized one day on my tea pouch, they refer to the best brewing temperature to maximize the health benefits and 170 degrees was the prime choice for green tea. Now I know what temp my tea is at and I'm getting max benefits out of it. Great gizmo, great benefits, great price for peace of mind. I use my milk frothing pitcher for my hot water as well. Beats the big ticket prices on tea pots with thermometers.

I can't froth my milk without it
I'm a beginner in the espresso machines's world and I was just frothing the milk without knowing that it needs to be done in a specific temperature, so, basically, my cappuccino was COLD and tasted very bad, so, from the time that it had been received to me, I never stopped making great cappuccino and latte as well, even when I got a new espresso machine (DeLonghi ESAM 4400 (Perfect 5 stars machine)), I continue to use it daily.Buy it, you won't regret it.Thanks,
