Gunter's Pure Buckwheat Honey, Buckwheat, 16 Ounce

Good product at reasonable price. Received within 2 days. This is my second order. First order took weeks to get, but for the price I was okay waiting...you can't rush nature ;o)

If you like buckwheat and I do, you will love this. Dark and strong but not overly strong it brings a wonderful flavor to you.

I recently watched an Iron Chef Showdown episode, in which one of the chef's used Buckwheat Honey in a dish, and after researching the health benefits I wanted to try some. Gunter's version is very tasty and I will definitely order again.I gave it four stars instead of five due to a slight leak from the lid that I discovered when I opened the package (see included pics). The bottle was wrapped quite well in bubble wrap and shipped in a padded bag, but USPS must have dropped it one or more times, causing the lid to slightly dent and pop up. The leakage was contained within the well packaged bubble wrap. I recommend to the seller that the clear plastic sealer that goes around the lid be a little wider so that it goes down further around the lid and neck of the bottle. That may help prevent the lid from popping up during transit should the package to a customer be dropped.

Buckwheat honey is very different from other honeys-it has a molasses flavor that has to be considered with how you use it. It is incredible in coffee and oatmeal- but awful(to me) in tea or other uses. It makes an incredible cup of coffee with some form of milk and butter. Seriously amazing.

My favorite honey Ive tried. I love the dark brown color snd the molasses like taste on yogurt and on blueberries.

Fake honey, don't buy! I am from Eastern Europe, I grew up on buckwheat honey. This is some Chinese rice syrup or whatever but NOT buckwheat honey! I left it in the fridge for 3 days. Did not crystalize at all! Usually real buckwheat hone would crystalize, at least partially, within couple of hours in the fridge.
