**** update: The Manufacturer contacted me regarding this issue. Within a week, I had a brand new blow dryer. The replacement was sent at no cost to me and I didn't have to return the broken one. The customer service is outstanding. I didn't expect to hear anything back never mind get a replacement. I really do love this blow dryer and am looking forward to using it again. I changed my review to five stars just for Xtava taking care of this issue.When I started using this blowdryer, it was amazing. I absolutely loved it. 9 months later, the blow dryer broke. Something came lose inside and made this terrible noise and started smoking. I am totally disappointed. For the price, I figured it would last more than 9 months.

I definitely love this dryer! It arrived very well packaged, all items came as described. I had to replace my previous dryer because it started giving off green flashes/sparks while used. I immediately stopped using it and my niece recommended this one to me because it is the one she uses and loves. So glad she did!My hair is long, thick and a nice mix of waves and curls. My previous drying time was 30-35 minutes.This dryer, on first use, took 26 minutes and I was impressed and pleased with this. It does blow consistently and very hot, so watch your scalp and fingers from having the hair on them for too long. Next time I will likely change the heat setting down a notch and see what happens there. When I was done, I felt all over the dryer and no single piece was hot to the touch or even warm. I love this because I can stow it away immediately instead of having to wait for it to cool off. The attachment was extremely hot, but it did cool off very quickly. I could have just used my towel to buffer between my hand and the attachment, but chose not to so I could see how fast it cools down as one piece. I wasn't sure if I would like the brush because it is smaller than the one I was using, but that one needed replaced. I tried the included brush with this drying time and I am pleased with the brush as much as I am everything else about this dryer. Settings can be easily customized to whatever the need and hair type.I couldn't be happier. If that manages to change, this will get updated. I don't foresee that happening though.

I was pretty concerned about all of the reviews saying this hairdryer had issues heating up and keeping the attachments on, but I just used it (albeit for the first time) and am satisfied.The attachments do pop off and on fairly easily, but not so much so that it irritates me. I just have to be more mindful of not hitting the end.The "cool shot" button works differently than most hairdryers I've used in that it acts as a button. You press it and the air switches to cool, no need to hold it down for desired length of time. Hit it again and the air switches back to heat. (I really panicked when I first turned it on and only felt cool air)My hair feels nice, smooth, and a little less frizzy. I don't know if this is because of the conditioner I use or from the dryer. I didn't notice any additional shine compared to my usual state. It didn't take me any longer than usual to dry my hair using this dryer. (For reference, I have medium length, fine but full, dirty blonde hair)The round brush provided isn't for me because I prefer another that doesn't have bristles (this also probably contributes to my lack of shine).

Awesome hair dryer set for a fraction of the price of other competitors! This hair dryer knocked my socks off - looks amazing, beautifully packaged, and it WORKS! I love that this set came with a brush and a diffuser - both great quality. The brush is a heavy, wooden, boar and nylon bristle round brush. I did have an issue where when I first turned on the dryer and only cold air blew out. I was devastated, however, it was a really quick fix! The cold -shot button was depressed and with just a bit of fiddling around I got it to work just fine.

First of all, Xtava has top notch customer service and a great product in this dryer. However, according to the description in the pictures above, this hairdryer is supposed to be “dual voltage” and “ideal for travel”. I brought mine to Spain, and the minute I turned it on it exploded inside and gave me not only an electric shock, but the scariest experience I’ve had so far. I contacted Xtava immediately and pointed out that they must correct the description on this site. While they have already sent me a replacement hairdryer, to my dismay the description is still as it was when I consulted it to make sure I could bring it abroad. If you own this hairdryer, DO NOT use it abroad without a voltage transformer. This is a dangerous oversight and requires immediate attention.EDIT: there are at least 2 other customers who had the same experience and who reviewed the product here as well. Clearly this isn’t an isolated incident and Xtava is being careless to not address the issue. While I have once again contacted th by email, I will contact Amazon directly this time.

First off, this hair dryer is gorgeous; black and rose gold. It feels nice too. It's not overly heavy in the hands. While the power of the dryer is very strong, I feel that it doesn't get as hot as other dryers. I am not sure if it's supposed to be this way or not but I knocked off a star for this reason. I also knocked off a star bc there are so many buttons but no instructions on what each of them do. Overall, I like it. It has cut my drying time in half and my hair feels nice after using it.

I got this about 2 weeks ago. Was finally able to use it today. It is fairly user friendly and anything I had trouble figuring out was in the trouble shooting part of the instruction book. It only took me about 20 minutes between opening the box and being done blowing out my hair. The ion function definitely added some shine to my normally dull looking frizzy hair. Definitely buy this if you are looking for a good hair dryer.
