Works with a Canon T5i (optional piece required)
The AC adapter I regularly use with my Canon T5i stopped working, so I ordered this adapter....It DOES require an extra piece that doesn't come with it (The piece that is shaped like the battery and hooks to the AC adapter)...but I knew that when ordering, and already had one from my original adapter. It was inexpensive, shipped very quickly, and works just fine for my purposes.

Works great for extended videos
Using your Cannon PowerShot as a video camera is much better having this AC adapter. Keeps you from worring about the battery going dead in the middle of a recording!

Canon power supply
Power supply does what it is supposed to do. It was a lot cheaper than what Canon was charging. It's a power adapter, that shouldn't cost much. Yes there can be good one and bad one. So far this one works fine.

Wrong Answer
A search revealed the item was suitable for my camera, however it was not. They made good for it, but I had to pay for return shipping. I'd be ahappier camper if they gave me the benefit of the doubt and picked up theshipping. The principle should revolve around the customer's satisfaction.
