Pretty nice deal for new motors/drives/supply.I didn't need the pulse generator board or software that comes with this kit; I have a motion control system that has its own pulse generator board and software, and these drives/motors work fine with it.Drives are easy to wire up, the steps/direction/enable each have 2 terminals for the optically isolated inputs, allowing either common-positive or common-ground, a nice option to have. DIP switch selectable microstepping, from half step (400 Pulses Per Revolution) on up to 1/128 (25,600 PPR). I prefer to use 2000 PPR (1/20) which is similar to Centent and Gecko microsteppers that I'm used to. Heat sinks are built into the drives, and drives can be mounted easily (as shown in my attached picture). Normally I'd mount the drives to metal, but I used wood for this quick test setup. When mounted, the heat sinks point sideways; the heat sinks aren't flush with the mounting surface. Drives have three separately removable terminal blocks; a 4 terminal for motor wires, 2 terminal for power, and 6 terminal for the step/dir/enable inputs.The NEMA23 motors are similar to Superior Electric M0-63 "triple stack" motors. The motors are double shafted; one shaft is smooth, the other has two "keys" milled at the 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions (i.e. 90 degrees apart). The 4 wire motors wire up easily; coil #1 is on red/grn, coil #2 is on yel/blu.The power supply is light weight and has a nice quality terminal block for wiring up the AC and motor drive DC out. Be sure to change the supply's input power switch from the default 220 VAC to 115 VAC if you're in the US.

This is a complete kit with all motors and electronics for a CNC machine.I now have it running with all the motors and limit switches working. You can slave one of the motors by reversing the wiring to use two motors for the Y axis running in opposite directions. See my explanation in the questions area about slaving a motor.Note that limit switches, if you are using the 3-wire type, must be PNP type. NPN will not work.Also, the check boxes in the limit switch area of the software must be all checked to get the limit switches working. This is a little counterintuitve, because it looks like it is a setting for software control limits.The support is quick, english is pretty good, and they have an engineer on board, so they will help you if you get stuck. The only negative is that the manual is lacking in some areas. The wiring diagrams are 100% accurate, though.Good luck!

Let me start off saying this is not going to be a hate speech here is what you need to knowImportant facts1. Controller is outdated cant work their "software is not supported by the actual company whom made it which is Planetcnc, the board is a clone not a actual board and nothing runs anymore the company wont support it any longer.2. stepper drivers are subpar and better ones are out there for cheaper then what this kit has them for3. The amount you waste to get this you can get the motors drivers and have nema 34 or 23 motors for cheaper then the kit the control board and jog controller are WORTHLESS dont waste money, get better parts then your machine will work. MACH3 wont work this thing doesn't connect to anything modern at all, i called the actual companies to try to make it work and all of them said Tough luck buy the real thing. They tried to send me firmware/software to try it out none worked including the sellers Trial/pirated stuffIn short i wont buy from the seller as i asked directly if it would work and got told yes to get a sale so lies i blacklist sellers for my own personal pref.

The package got to my home in good shape and on time, but I had to take time to start using it for time constraints, but all the items I checked seemed in excellent condition and as advertised, I am starting to get them together to be able to make a more objective judgement of the ease of implementation and value as a full operating unit, so far tha seller have responsed to my inquires and will be able to have a follow up of this review.
