I was able to install the fan in 30 minutes. It works perfectly. Now when the kids leave the door open the flies stay out. I recommend the magnetic door switch, It installs easily and operates perfectly. 1234 buy equipment supply was great to work with also.

The unit is easy to install, I mounted mine outside my lanai door. HOWEVER, it is loud. I measured the noise level right around 51 decibels. Now that may be what the manufacture says and that's fine. BUT, at 51 decibels that is still too loud to keep running if you want to leave your door open as I do. But, for intermittent use like entering and exiting it's fine.

This is powerful. We live in Florida and in the summer the skeeters can get bad, flies follow you in from the grille, and noseeums are rampant. It’s a mega blast each time we open the door. It took me a couple of tries to get the location of the magnetic sensor just right so if someone doesn’t close the door all the way it still turns off. Very happy with the product.

Just put it up at the door to my garage, so yet to see how effective it will be in keeping the flys, mosquitoes, gnats, etc., out. Top row of 3 support screws are in a wood header; bottom row I used Wall Driller pieces. Was a little cumbersome installing the three bottom screws (that prevent lateral movement). The mag switch stopped working for a bit, but ok once I cleaned the faces with alcohol. Next steps: (1) hide the cord; (2) fine tune angle of air flow.9/15/24 Update 1: Dropped to 3 stars as mag switch continues to show unreliability, i.e., fan keeps running even after door is closed.10/22/24 Update 2: Replaced flimsy mag switch with a different brand. This new one is much larger, in terms of face area (nearly twice as much). Working better so far.

Does the job. Easy install, second unit we have here. It’s a tad noisy, but that’s fine

I can't say that I am happy with a gadget I bought like this one. First time I experienced this air curtain was in a restaurant in my original country. When I moved to US and saw how much insects there are even in the city I said once I build a house I will definitely buy one. I completely forgot to install electric plugs over the doors but my friend who hooked them up managed to do so. I installed 2 one on the front door and one on the back. Week point is the garage door. Was hoping to wait till next year and install 2 big ones over the garage door keeping the garage SAFE!Of course I keep them on the high fan as I think the low mode isn't powerful enough.Very few bugs still escape, so you need a zapper. The best method to open a door is to open it just enough for the sensor to activate the fan and then keep opening.Now trying to take snaks and Hooka outside and inside can couse things to fly, but Hey: I will take dianasours any day over bloody insects!

Item performed as expected. As a DYI guy I was not able to lift the unit by myself to hang it on the mounted base plate above the door because of its' weight. The rest of the installation was simple. Don in Texas.

Works very well, gives my dogs and my family the freedom to move in and out of the house easily. The motor is a bit noisy but keeping the bugs out is work the noise.
