NuNaturals Pure White Stevia Extract Powder Natural Sweetener, 1 Ounce

There are a lot of nasty stevia products out there that just taste bitter and nasty. This is not one of them! I use it in green smoothies, protein drinks, homemade chocolate, you name it. If you use too much it will get an odd taste. You just have to go by trial and error to see how much you like for your taste. Too much and it is bitter. Too little and it is not sweet enough. There is a very small margin of error in how much to use. It is definitely cheaper on amazon than at the grocery store by a couple bucks. Cooking with stevia is a little different than adding it to food straight up. So be warned that the flavor profile can change when cooked. I do not recommend it in coffee. Although it is simply a sweetener, it does not have a neutral flavor profile. Some things do not complement the flavor profile of even the best stevia. However, this is different to each person's palate. My mother will put stevia products in coffee and loves it. My picky in (9 years old) loves this stuff. She likes to make "lemonade" with fresh lemons and stevia. I am more sensitive to bitter notes in food and she puts too much for my tastes. When I make it I put in less. So again, you have to use it to your personal taste and that can be different to each person.

I honestly didn't have much hope for this as I've had stevia products before and am not terribly fond of the flavor of other products I've tried. I ordered this because I'd read some reviews on it that it didn't have that "aspartame-y" aftertaste like artificial sweeteners do as it was pure stevia. I must say that I'm fairly impressed. I have tried it a couple of times now, using it to sweeten lemon water that I drink every morning. The flavor is hard to describe. It does sweeten with very little powder (I've been using the second smallest micro scoop which I guess is the 1/32 size) and I can drink it without getting that "ick" taste afterward that usually follows other sugar-free sweeteners and I don't feel like I'm forcing it down. It's honestly not my favorite as I am used to using honey or maple syrup, but I think I can get used to it and it will help me with what I purchased it for. To help cut out more sugars from my diet.

I have been using NU Naturals nu stevia for years. Few months back I realized that I was having to use more to sweeten my coffee ect. I used the packets you buy at the heath food stores. So I called NU Stevia company and complained about it. I was sent a bottle of Pure extract and it was pretty good but still had know way of comparing it to the single packets. I was about to use it up so I purchased 3 bottles of the pure extract. They first sent me an email saying we don't have that amount and that my order was cancelled. However, they sent me another email stating sending two bottles of it. When it arrived to my house the two bottles were half empty. I will be looking for another brand of nu stevia for the future. I am very disappointed in NU Naturals.

Great product. Easy to use (love the shaker top and save the bottles for other usage), zero calories (substitute a few shakes of this in your morning coffee instead of honey or sugar and you'll lose weight easily and painlessly), very reasonable price(my coop quit carrying this product so I found it online). I don't want to use any other sweetener, carry a bottle in my purse (in its own bag; no need to court a purse-full of loose stevia powder) for when I'm away from home. This is The Absolute Best Sweetener I know of!!!

Strong bitter aftertaste. Put this one in the pile of manufacturers who need to learn not to use certain parts of the plant. There are other cheaper, better tasting alternatives that won't leave your mouth puckered.

Of the stevia products I've tried NuNaturals has the best flavor/least aftertaste. It's powdery so it can fly around in the air when you dispense and get on other things. Of course it is very, very sweet so use extreme moderation, taste and then decide if you want more - you can take it out once you've over done it.

I don't eat sugar and this form of stevia was recommended to me by a website I frequent that really prides itself on recommending healthy products. Apparently this form of stevia is pesticide free as tested by an independent laboratory, so that's a plus. It has a very pleasant taste--I use it in baking and in my tea, cereal, etc. Just remember--a little goes a VERY long way. It is extremely concentrated. I like to mix it with a bag of Agave Inulin powder (an extremely mild sweetener that is a prebiotic) so that I don't overdo it.

Not impressed with this especially for the price. It tastes bitter. I bought it as it stated it was not bitter but it is.
