I finally replaced my Corsair M90 (my wife was pissed because she would touch my shoulder, shock me and my mouse would die). Ergonomics are great, the buttons are placed to make it easy to hit any of them without thinking about it much and a spot for your thumb to rest. EVERY button is customizable, sniper mode is now push to talk, profile modes changed to other hot keys.Another nice perk is there is no program required to be running in the background. You launch the Thermltake program, program the mouse, everything is uploaded to the firmware on the mouse and you close the program. This should be a standard. And the wife can come and touch me and not destroy my mouse while I'm playing. Happy wife!

Had lots of potential but failed miserably.
I really wanted this mouse to replace my G502; it had the potential to do so but, failed miserably. First off, the Ventus Z isPROS:1. The button layout is identical to the g502 only easier to reach and click/press.2. Scroll button easier to click than on the G502.3. able to assign macros to the mouse buttons and has repeating macros.Thats it.CONS:1. The way the left and right click buttons are designed is really flawed. This is not an ambidextrous mouse but yet the the left and right click buttons look and feel like they are made for a left handed person. Really confusing.2. Gaming mice should be heavy (in my opinion) and this mouse is lightweight even with the non-customizable weights it has.3. Scroll wheel does not have enough of a mechanical feel and it is very easy to "overscroll". this is not good in a game where you use the scroll wheel to change your weapons.4. It only has a right click on the scroll button and it performs the same function as pushing the scroll button down. ??? I don't get that one.5. No instructions and no support.6. No I don't know if it is the software that is full of bugs or the on-board memory just sucks but, Getting macros to work is nearly impossible. Once you make a macro you simply cannot edit it as it will not write it to the on-board memory. You need to figure out (which I did) how to be able to get the macro onto the mouse. There are apply and ok buttons in two different sections and if you don't press both in both sections it simply wont record it. The software is really clunky.CONCLUSION: I cannot recommend this mouse the a serious or even casual gamer. It has A LOT of potential as the size and button layout is practically perfect but, unless those other things I mentioned are redesigned and fixed, this thing is useless.

Tt eSport Ventus X Optical review
Numbers are on a 1-10 scaleTested on: QCK HeavyMinor Testing on: Roccat Taito 2017Sensor/Tracking: 10Nothing to really expect it does the job, there's tons of 3360 info threads around for you to read more details.Mouse Feet: 5-6No major gliding problems but the skates are quite thin and it does make some scraping noise on the mousepad. Not the best glide and not the worst glide.Cable: 6It's ok, it's braided so it comes with the downside of a small amount of drag especially when doing vertical movements. I don't notice it too much. I still prefer rubberized cable or a braided cable that can be kinked properly into place. Cables are a pain really. Used with a camadeShape: 8A larger EC1-A with a flattter right side - I wouldn't mind if the right side flared out a tiny bit as that would make my pinky have to arch less but regardless the shape is quite good. Be warned this is for larger hands but despite that I never really used it in a full palm grip as that felt strange. It was more of a half palm with some clawingWeight: 6-7While it's light the large size and weight can fatigue you depending on your sensitivity settings and game - I could get 5 hours of playtime in without much issue but eventually I did feel some minor strain from swinging it around too much. This varies from game to game and from gamer to gamer (depending how high or low your sensitivity is, so the lower you use the more strain you may feel - but I use lower than most so a lot of you should be ok) (I'm around 51cm/360 sometimes 57)Response Times: 10Super responsive right/left click, feels like it registers as soon as the button is pressed. You can adjust this in the software. I do not have the tools to measure click latency properly - however you can have no doubt that it registers fast enough you cannot find any complaint about it.LOD (Lift-Off-Distance): 10Can be adjusted from aprox 1~ CD to 2~CD ish.. depends on your mousepad. Any issues tracking try changing it from high to low or etcCoating/Grips: 7Side grips are always grippy, no wear shown/felt in a weeks use. Top coating is some type of matte plastic? Basically the more warm/heated up your hand is the more grippy the top part gets - but if your hand is dry for example you washed your hand with warm water and soap then dried it - the top coating will become lessy grippy until your hands begin to warm up/oil again. Side grips are always grippy no matter if dry hands or not. I cannot say if the mouse would be better without the side grips or not - maybe?Scroll Wheel: 8-9No issues, I enjoy it. Sort of a fast scroll with a small amount of feedback. It's easy to click inward - didn't use it too much in-gameM1/M2: 7A bit on the stiffer side - not a bad click but definitely requires a deliberate minimum force. Basically compare a black cherry keyboard to a red cherry or something similar - they require more 'force' to make the button actuate. I don't think you will accident click with this mouse - while it's fine I give it a 7 cause it just didn't give me a real clicking satisfaction like some other mice do.Side buttons: 7They work fine but the placement/shape/size of them is a bit off.. Not sure how to describe it but it's not that easy to click smooth side button you have on most gaming mice and rather a more outward or sharp feeling side button. Does the job though.Software: 5It has a lot of good features and works - however it's not intuitive at all and basically you have to already know gaming mice software to understand it - plus search around for random settings.. for example disabling on-screen OSD can only be found via right-clicking the software in system tray yet is completely unavailable in any other part of the software. I've also had the software crash when messing with the LEDs. You can adjust the click-delay, LOD, angle snapping, report rate, and set 5 different dpi levels for one profile in the software. You can also import/export profiles, create new ones, and delete old ones. You can have up to 5 profiles although I don't know why you'd need so many because you can already have 5 different dpi levels on one profile. I guess you could make a different LOD profile for different types of mousepadsPrice: 9 or 10Didn't feel ripped off buying the mouse, a really easy price to take in. I don't know what it costs to produce these units and how much companies need to make a decent ROI but I'm used to spending a boat load by now. Conclusion:Overall I really enjoy the mouse and perform well with it - I don't think it will be my main driver forever because I'm sure something better will come along in the future - my main concerns is the thin mouse feet and size/weight ratio as I can definitely feel it putting some minor strain on my wrist during wrist motions. Bigger mice make some movements easier but other movements (like aiming upward to the left) a little harder (depends on sensitivity/sensor position?) The cable is a minor hindrance. But if you're in the market for a larger EC with a 3360 this is a decent buy for sure. I'll keep a look out at TTesports gear in the future as well.

Great mouse
The Thermaltake Ventus X is a great gaming mouse. It's performance is excellent and it is comfortable to use. Build quality is also very good and it sports a state of the art sensor and switches. It compares favorably to the competition and is about $10 cheaper than most premium mice. I own several other Thermaltake mice and have been impressed with them all. The Ventus X is the best of the bunch and I highly recommend it
