why didn't I think of this before???
The thought came to me on the freeway... I wonder if they make off the shelf bifocal readers? After running over my pair of $500 transitional lens glasses with my truck, I decided I could not be trusted with expensive glasses. I decided long ago I couldn't be trusted with expensive sunglasses... this just followed. So, for years, I've struggled with putting glasses on and off. Then, one day, the freeway epiphany: do they make them, and does Amazon sell them? and if so, do they make sunglasses? Rush to the computer and... the clouds part, the sun shines through, the angels sing... I bought these and some in sunglasses and my whole sight-world has changed. No more glaring over my glasses at meetings, no more on and off in the grocery store, no more fishing for my readers, sunglasses on head, two pairs of glasses on head, silliness at the horse shows. YAY!!! These are cheap enough I can buy multiple glasses for when I lose, sit on, hide, dog eats, lend, stolen by gremlins... PROBLEM SOLVED! These are equivalent to the highest quality you would buy at say... Rite Aid, light, well constructed, that like. The lens will scratch if you throw them in your purse, so don't. This getting older thing is a challenge, but seeing stuff is an easy fix. Buy em. One of the few things in middle-age that can be fixed for twenty bucks!

Better than expected.
I have 20/20 vision at a distance in one eye, but a serious viral infection in the other eye left it with no useful vision except some peripheral vision. When I had to take a vision test to renew an expired driver license, the examiner declared my vision "impaired" and noted on my license that I was required to wear glasses when driving! I had prescription glasses made, but wore them only when driving. I relied on "reading" glasses for up close work. I have needed to increase the power of the readers, but the optometrist said I would have to have another eye exam and a new prescription. That was the last straw. I searched for a cheaper alternative. I ordered these glasses as bifocal so I could use them at all times without having to ask "where did I leave those ... glasses" three or four time a day. I found these glasses to be exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend them.

The glasses are quite small
I think this is product is a wonderful idea and would have a great market if it was advertised more, after my cataract surgery my distance vision is 20/20 but my close up vision is poor, it was such a headache putting on and removing reading glasses all day long and it took me a longtime to find this product. I even gave them to my grown sons for Christmas and they love them. They are far superior to my prescription glasses, much lighter. As for this particular pair they are quite small, I have a small face and head and often buy kids hats , these leave red marks on my nose and become tight over the day, that is why I give them 3 stars. It would also be nice to have a wider selection of colors and frames. These are made in America and I would like to buy made in the USA products instead of the ones fromChina but guys you have to make a product that fits, the ones I ordered from China fit. I hope this is helpful.

Great bifocals. Looks great and now I can see great.
I have ordered several pair of these. My favorite are the brown stripe version. While the magnification portion is applied to the clear lens, it is not a "sticker" as some have said. It is a proper acrylic lens. This is typical of a standard bifocal that is not of the no-line variety.Having the "line" does take a bit to get used to, but once you do, it is a non-issue.I take a lot of measurements for work and it has gotten harder to read the tape measure over the years. Standard readers work when standing in one place, but as I move around to measure larger areas I need to bifocals so I don't have to lift or look over the top of the glasses when walkingThe Brown Stripe and the Black seem to have slightly thicker frames and ever so slightly larger magnification lenses than the tortoise and yellow tortoise I have ordered. YMMV

Great all the time wearing!
I was looking for readers to replace my regular glasses but have all the time wear. I ordered a pair from somewhere else and the lens was not good for distance. It blurred my distance vision so I could not wear them all the time. These readers for all day wear are great! The reading area is small enough to allow the clear part of the lens to be large enough to see distance out of without any acrobatics of the neck and head to see. I will be ordering a pair in sunglass form so I can use them to read outside. I am very happy with these. Great value and a great pair of glasses. I actually replaced my prescription glasses with these and will never pay $700.0 for glasses again!

Super Happy.. exactly what was described and what ive been looking for.
just got these and cant say how much i LOVE them! the frames are cute enough, the clear part is clear and the magnifier portion is wide enough (the magnifier part is just a little smaller than regular mini readers but just wide enough that the line on the side is not noticeable while wearing the glasses. GREAT to use while watching TV which also paying bills or reading, or on the computer. i use 125 readers so idk how the line, which is noticeable, if you need more of a magnification. The only problem i have is that i have a very small face and bridge (often i wear childrens clothing and glasses) so they sit a bit lower on my nose than is ideal but not a deal breaker at all. I will update my review after i use them at work a bit and see how they wear but for the price if they break in a month i would absolutely buy 3 at a time.
