Use it in an enclosure to keep it from freezing over and keep moisture out. Comes with fuse holder and all.

Installed in a Miata electrical conversion for cabin heat and defroster. Small amount to no heat at vents. I understand this is an unusual application. Still looking for any unit that will work.

So far so good. It produces more heat than I expected.

Doesn't heat as expected. It works though. Very small. A little bigger than the size of a small tissue box.

Fantastic little piece of gear. Under the canopy in my truck bed, only need to run it at low output in 25-35 degree weather.

The unit is well built, and the reported wattage appears to be accurate. [There is a unit by another mfgr commonly sold with a reported 300 watt rating. It is actually significantly less]. Accordingly, the much higher price for this unit can be justified. Your satisfaction would depend on your expectation. If you expect too much you may be disappointed. If you have an idea of how a 12 volt 360 watt heater will perform, you may be very satisfied. I originally purchased one from "Boat and RV Accessories". That unit was defective in that the fan did not function. I called the mfgr in Texas to see if there was a way to repair it myself, but was told it had to be returned to "Boat and RV Accessories". I did not like the options available with "Boat and RV Accessories", so I returned the unit to them for a refund, and purchased another unit from a different seller.I submitted a negative review, and "Boat and RV Accessories responded with outright lies. (See their response dated January 9, 2015).1.) I did not refuse to return the unit, it was returned the same day label was received (29 Dec). Here is the UPS tracking #1Z60774R9051064161. (It arrived on 6 Jan due to New Years Day / weekend from Los Angeles). 2.) Amazon does not force buyers to return things. 3.) Item was not fully functional. It was defective. If you decide to purchase the unit, it may be to your advantage to get it from a seller other than "Boat and RV Accessories". A seller that lies so blatantly can not be trusted.
