Dewey rods are high quality.
As you probably already know, Dewey rods are top shelf quality. What is there to say? Quality handle, coating and bearings. No ferrule is nice. Attachment just threads right into rod. Comes with slotted tip.

okay
I know I am no gun smith but it is dang hard to not damage the coating on these rods. I tried to be as careful as I could but the front edge got scarred by the gun barrel and now it is peeling back.

perfect
I have several dewey rods already and they never fail to disappoint. This works great - strong, sturdy and does the job very well. Wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

Not impressed
I was really hoping to find a large ball bearing handle .22 cal brass cleaning rod but couldn't seem to find one, so I figured I'd give yet another coated steel rod a try. As expected the coating strips off on the muzzle exposing the steel underneath, which after enough cleanings will destroy the crown on the barrel. I've only cleaned one .22lr pistol with this so far, and it already looks like a barber pole from the missing coating. I'll be giving mine away and continuing the hunt for a pistol length .22 cal cleaning rod in either carbon fiber or solid brass that has a rotating handle.
