I'm always a little leary of replacement batteries for under 10 bucks, but fear not, the Wasabi Power LI-ion batteries are a pretty sweet deal for the price. I work for a State agency up in Alaska and we use Pentax Optio waterproof cameras in the field. When we go in the field our crews need to take a couple of spare batteries with them not knowing how long they might be out and unable to recharge them. We recently purchased a new WG-1 Pentax Optio for this field season and I also had to purchase some spare batteries. I had purchased a couple Wasabi batteries last year for our other WP-60 and was very impressed by battery life. An added bonus is that these little guys also charge in the Pentax charger that came with the camera. Lithium Ion is the way to go with long life and no memory charge loss. These are great little spare batteries and for the price point you can't go wrong!!

Will not fully charge but still charges to about 90%. Works good enough to get the job done.

One charge lasted an hour and a half in my pentax underwater camera. Cheap price, satisfied.

I have the Pentax WG-01 and took it on a long backpacking trip. The OEM battery is $35 while these are a fraction of the cost. I took 4 of these plus the one OEM battery and ended up taking about 800 photos and a number of videos over an 11 day period and still had 2 batteries that were fully charged. Great life out of a single battery and I am hard on them because I will pull out the camera take a couple pictures, turn it off, and then hike a short distance and repeat the process.I would buy these again and they are a fraction of the cost.

I bought a couple of these batteries for my Pentax Optio RZ18. The manufacturer claimed that this battery would last 35% longer than the OEM battery. The price seemed right so I ordered a couple of them.I will admit that for the price they work ok, but they definitely do not last longer than the OEM battery. I would guess I get 1/3 less shots with these batteries than the one supplied with the camera. I use the camera a lot so I want a battery that will last as long as the OEM battery. This is not it.If you don't take a lot of photos and want a cheap battery that will give you adequate power, this is your battery. Otherwise, buy the OEM or buy another brand. i know I will.

Very happy with this battery. There was an issue with the shipment and the seller addressed it right away; very good customer service. I would by these again.

Does what it's supposed to but probably only has 75% of the runtime of the OEM battery - slightly more if not taking video but that could just be my imagination. I don't spend a lot of time thinking about it - I just keep it in rotation with the original battery and I really like having what I see as a dependable back-up battery. The bonus was that it was substantially less expensive than a new OEM battery.

I was a bit concerned buying a replacement battery that wasn't from the manufacturer. But after getting it, i'm very pleased that I did. The Wasabi battery fits my Pentax Optio WG-1 just like the original battery, and the battery life seems as good or better to us in normal use. Given the price it's a great deal.
