Allstate 2-Year Consumer Electronics Accidental Protection Plan ($175-199.99)

I bought a new Samsung tablet at Office Max. They offered an extended and accidental handling protection plan but it costs 25% of the price of the tablet.I have purchased Square Trade protection plans from Amazon for other electronics and I knew that the protection plans were more reasonably priced. The same type of protection was half the price of the Office Max plan.Jan 11, 2016I have been reading some of the reviews on this product. I see that quite a few people have had problems with claims etc. I have had several Square Trade Protection plans and didn't have any problems. I purchased a Nook Tablet through Walmart. One of the first things that I did was register the protection plan.[This was a couple of years ago] This matches the the plan with your purchase.The Nook quit working, it was dead.So, I called Square Trade and requested that the Nook be repaired. They asked me to mail my Nook to them and I received another Nook as a replacement.That is just one of the few claims that I have had. Another time I had purchased another Nook.The SD card got stuck and I damaged the Micro SD port when I removed it. I called, got the information that I needed to send it in for repairs. It took 7 days for my Nook to get repaired and returned. My advice to anyone who is considering purchasing an extended warranty or a protection plan is the following.1. Read the plan so that you understand what it is covering.2. Always buy Accident Protection for any Mobile product. If it can be picked it up and used, it is likely to be damaged at some point. Most standard protection plans do not cover operator error.3.Always read the products' customer reviews. I try not to buy anything that has over 10% bad reviews [1 & 2 stars] Every company puts out a few lemons. If more that 10% of the reviews are bad, then you might end up with a bad product.

They’ve done all they could to not pay the claim!Do not buy!! Been trying to work with them for over a month.There’s a huge difference between “working” and working correctly.

The screen on my Kindle 3G broke last Friday after being stuffed in an over-packed suitcase. I filed an ADH claim with SQUARETRADE on their website that afternoon. It was very quick and simple to do. On Saturday morning I received an e-mail response stating that my claim had been accepted and that all I needed to do was print out the attached pre-paid UPS label and drop my broken Kindle off at any UPS mailing center. I sent it off on Monday morning, and today, Tuesday morning, I received another e-mail saying that my Amazon Gift Card was ready and that I could apply it to my account whenever I wished. ONLY 4 DAYS, CLAIM TO $$!! I chose to receive my return as an Amazon credit since I wanted to replace my Kindle, but I could have chosen to get a check in the mail. Also, because I chose to receive my return in Amazon credit, I received an additional 5% credit... a total of $210.52!! I originally paid $39.99 + tax for this 3-yr plan. WHAT A DEAL!! I also discovered a great (often unmentioned) thing about SQUARETRADE Warranties when I lost my Kindle 2 last year. When I called and told them it was gone, THEY PRO-RATED THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT COST AND REFUNDED A PORTION OF MY $$!! I love this company!

This is a great protection plan to have on any electronic device. I have this same plan on another tablet and when that one had issues I simply called Square Trade told them the problem and the took care of everything. I had a new tablet in no time! I highly recommend getting insurance on your electronics, especially Square Trade.

I bought this for a tablet I got for my daughter. She accidentally dropped it and cracked the screen. I put in a claim online and within 72 hrs I had an Amazon credit worth the amount of the tablet to get her another one. Purchased another protection plan to go with the new one. Well worth the money.

A true Warranty Horror Story: When my computer had trouble, SquareTrade asked for photos -- I sent them in within 12 hours of the request but NEVER HEARD BACK! After a week, I called and spoke with a new representative (not the original person, who had stopped responding to my emails), who tried to refuse my claim, as if by second nature. On multiple occasions, they offered to "buy back" my warranty. This is their tactic to effectively erase all evidence you had a warranty at all and avoid taking care of your claim. Finally, after the representative spoke with her "senior manager" they suddenly decided they could repair it (I suspect she never even talked to the manager -- these are just the tactics they use).Days later, after SquareTrade missed multiple phone appointments which I had changed my schedule to accommodate, they denied my claim -- the technician's report contained multiple inconsistencies, but when I called to point out the inconsistenties, THE REPRESENTATIVE HUNG UP ON ME! He yelled at me, "You're not listening" and then -- click -- he hung up on me! After hanging up on me and without asking, they sent back my computer unrepaired.TERRIBLE COMPANY -- THEY WILL LIE TO AVOID HONORING YOUR CLAIM. THEY WILL HANG UP ON YOU AND IGNORE YOUR CLAIM. They use their tactics to talk people out of their claims. If you are planning on using SquareTrade, consider yourself warned.

I plan on always using this company to protect my goods. My son had accidently damaged his psp and this company reinbursed me for the full amount I paid for the psp. It was so easy to file a claim! I highly reccomend this company for all of your electronic protection needs.
