This mat took just under 2 weeks to make, someone with a bit more time on their hands would probably get it done faster!It does take a lot of patience and you need to actually enjoy doing this kind of thing.I personally found it quite therapeutic, but I won't lie, towards the end, I did just want to get it finished!It's a very worthwhile project to take on though as you get an adorable mat at the end to look upon for years to come!I did this one for outside my 4 year Olds bedroom. Wouldn't put it near a front door or anything as it would get mucky in no time which would ruin the hard work put into it.But bedrooms doors are fine as they're not being stepped on by shoes!I will say one negative, the template on the mat did not fully match up to the instruction given, I had to improvise!They send plenty of yarn though!My Eldest is still working on another one.I would say it's about 5 steps with each piece of yarn, which is why it takes so long to complete. So as I say, you really do need a lot of patience!I saw a video of how to do it which was showing piece after piece being done quickly, in reality, this isn't the case...you'd never be able to do it that fast, as you have to get each piece in position.You can spend 2 hours on it and still only have completed a very small patch!

Brought for my Grand Daughter as a gift she’s hardly put it down. She’s a very happy bunny so I'm happy.

Really good kit easy to do

I am a complete craft novice but I found this relatively straight forward. Once I got the hang of it, I was able to complete a row quickly and without any issues.However, the threads were not consistent in length and thickness and I ended up throwing some away for being too short. Secondly, the very top line that you have to hook onto, some were actually stitched under the seam so you couldn’t get your hook into them. And lastly, the contrast of the colours for the ginger and cream cats were not as significant as the picture shows. Particularly with the ginger, you can hardly see the difference in the colours.Nice enough for my first one but I’m disappointed with the quality and colour. Also in terms of size (I know it’s stated) but this is more like a small bath mat than a rug.

It exceeded my expectations. I am very happy with this product.
