145R12 LRD 8 PR Kenda Karrier Radial Trailer Tire on 12" 5 Lug Galvanized Spoke Wheel

Really happy with the quality of these little radial trailer tires. Load range D, so an amazing load carrying capacity for a small wheel. My boat trailer would start to wag back and forth at times with the previous non-radial narrower tires, but these stabilized things considerably. The wheels themselves seem to have a very heavy galvanized layer. You can see it's thick just looking at them.

Initial review of these is very positive. I checked the date to make sure they were fresh, which is always a concern. The date code said 2514, which would be mid year of 2014. The plant code (7Y) shows that these tires are made in mainland China.I am using them on a 13' PWC trailer to carry 250 lbs of kayaks, so the total weight is right at 500 lbs total. At 65 psi, the tire rides on the center two lines of the tread with that little weight. After 1, one hour trip, I backed the psi down to 50, and it uses all four tread lines. This tire tracks well behind the car, and is supple on the road (compared to the 4.80 x 12 bias tires that were on the trailer). The wheel is typical fare, nothing special or bad, just a simple galvanized wheel. I did not have the wheel balanced, and I really don't think it needs to be.I was not impressed with the way they were shipped. Just the bare wheel/tire, slapped with adhesive stickers on the tread with the packing slip. While it may not have ultimately hurt the wheel/tire, I would have expected it to be shipped in a box. That's what I knocked the rating down for.

Put them on our boat trailer n took off fishing for a week! No flats!

I found them stiffer than comparable bias plys, so I took them off my seadoo trailer as it is light and rode very rough.I put them on my sled trailer and it is great. Tows easier, doesn't vibrate and tracks nice behind the vehicle. Huge improvement over the bias plys. Being able to bolt them on right out of the box with no tire shop is great, one step and done.

So far so good. Two trips mounted to my Coleman popup camper and they haven't lost any air yet.
