Quick Heat That Dissipates a Bit Quickly
This tastes really good. At the beginning it has a pepper flavor and you can taste it’s about to get real hot. And it does, very quickly - there’s no ramp up or creep, it’s just hot almost immediately. Although the heat does dissipate rather quickly if you keep eating your food.I wonder if this behavior of the heat is because of the fact it’s made from the peppers and not an extract.I agree with the other comment, it’s very “controllable” - a few small drops and it’s not incredibly hot, but start adding more and the heat builds up.It’s not like that other Wicked one I had where my mouth was burning for an hour - I can appreciate how quickly it flashes up then fades away. Interesting hot sauce experience.Flavor is great, natural pepper flavor and not smoky or sweet so it pretty much goes with everything. I rate it 5/5, one of my most satisfied hot sauce purchases in a while. Will keep my tolerance up as I keep eating it. I’d describe it kind of like a very hot and flavorful Tabasco (tangy). Good stuff!

I love this sauce, my favorite Cajohn's flavor so far.
I love this sauce! This is the third bottle of it that I bought. It's my favorite of the Cajohn's brand so far. I think it's the lemon combined with the slightly "fruity-ish" flavor of the Trinidad Scorpion pepper that makes it unique (although the sauce does not at all have a lemony flavor, if that makes sense). I really enjoy it. It's a real sauce, not an extract. I've seen some retailers try to advertise this as having a 800,000 SHU rating. That's not the case; it is NOT 800,000 SHU. The bottle itself does not have a SHU rating on it. But I think any extreme hot sauce lover like myself will not be dissapointed at all, it is very hot and also flavorful. As an extreme hot sauce lover and *somewhat* of a hot pepper connoisseur, I feel like this sauce is between 50,000 - 100,000 SHU and I highly recommend it. I am partial to Cajohn's sauces over Blair's now, and this flavor is my favorite so far. PS) This sauce is most excellent on omelets, pasta with vodka sauce, and homemade mac n cheese.

One of the best tasting hot sauces ever, with good heat
I just opened my first bottle of this a couple night's ago. I tried a cap straight and then ran a solid line down my burrito.I would not say this is an extreme heat hot sauce, it's maybe half as hot as Dave's Original Insanity, or about 80% as hot as Melinda's Naga Jolokia. It's hot enough to give kick to chili, salsa, or wing sauce, but chileheads will like to slather their meat or burrito with this as well.I have tried many different hot sauces, and this one has easily moved into my top 3 of all-time. I really love the flavor, and the heat is at just the right level where I can feel the heat if I use it lightly or blow smoke out of my years by adding a little more. The scorpion isn't even my favorite pepper in terms of flavor profile, but CaJohns has done a fantastic job of blending the flavors of the scorpion pepper with vinegar and lemon with a hint of onion and garlic. To summarize, if you want the hottest thing out there, this is not it. But if you want a really exceptionally great tasting hot sauce with a good kick to it, CaJohn's Trinidad Scorpion Hot Sauce gets my strongest recommendation.

Not as hot as they claim
Over the years, I keep looking for the next hottest thing. The Naga Bhut Jolokia (ghost pepper) was substantially hotter than habanero and took me awhile to get used to it. I use it frequently now.I was very interested when hearing about the new Scorpion Pepper (apparently available in Moruga and Trinidad varieties). The Moruga is supposed to be the hotter of the two from what I read. When this hot sauce got delivered, I was anxious to try it. First thing I noticed it has a wide pouring mouth opening rather than a small dropper size like other hot sauces which surprised me since it's supposed to be used so sparingly. I put this straight on some tortilla chips and tried it. And some more. And some more. While it's definitely hot, it is by no means hotter than the Jolokia (from what I taste). It doesn't raise the bar any unfortunately. That said, this is a great hot sauce on it own merits. It has a nice flavor that is well balanced, not sweet or "doctored" taste that some sauces have. I still recommend it, but if you're looking for the next hotter thing like I am, it may be awhile unless another brand comes up with something better.

yummy
This sauce is one of the best tasting sauces ive tried to date. Its good and hot but you can still tast the flavors, its on par with Melindas naga jolokia as far as heat and tast. I was septical about the trinidad peper but it has great flavor and hot enoff without the extracts. This will be one of my new goto sauces and I use hot sauce on everything on every meal. I have at least 2 Habanero bottles and 2 Ghost pepper bottles on hand at all times. So for me to be thrilled with a new sauce is saying somthing.

Delicious and like a MEAN SCORPION!!!
This is by far one of the spiciest I have tried. I taste a balance of flavors it is said on the label and I get a sweet yet spice and smokey flavor. It's not like other sauces where you only taste vinager and too much salt, this is perfect. The only thing (which is supposed to be that way) it possesses a lot of heat and yeah being Trinidad scorpion pepper is no suprise xDNot recommended for mild spice lovers unless they want more heat. Taste is delicious, expiration date is excellent (came Sept 25th expires 12/2020) and appreciate ways of packaging for using a small box and padding for added protection.
