I bought these to gain a more robust look for the front of my self built, and designed outdoor shower. They worked great with the proprietary screws, but also worked great with another style black structural screw that I used for the inside shelf since I needed 4 inch instead of the 3 inch proprietary screw. I highly recommend these, especially if you can get them at a discount through amazon.

First, this is a solid product. Simpson Stong-Tie has always been my go-to company when buying building hardware. They will continue to be in the future. The problem I had was with the supplier, a rigging company. One of the three boxes I ordered had security tape slit and two washers missing. I needed all the washers. The rigging company claimed no record of the sale. When I contacted Simpson Strong-Tie they shipped two washers overnight. Thank you SS-T!
