This is not an item to fall into that category.Story TIME:I have two male basset hounds who are endearingly referred to as bassholes (before PETA comes for me please keep reading). Hank is a 7 year old fixed male basset who is approximately 55lbs but built like a brick shhh house. He is cranky d/t losing his manly hood and take two grown ups for anything he doesn’t want to do including bath time and forget clipping nails. I was done paying $75 and a doggie Xanax just to clip them. So I ordered this good looking sling. He HATED IT! But I was able to clip ALL nails while ducking and diving. Now onto the angel baby BoBo.Bo is an almost 2 year old intact male who has a baby face and could easily get away with world domination. He is easy going and more of what the stereotypical basset is supposed to be. He enjoys treats, long naps, and the occasional zoomies. He watched Hank get loaded in the sling and suspended from air and still hopped right in! (Sweet and cute not bright) His clipping took half the time and was a great fit. He unlike his brother is more of a 65-70lb rolly Polly.The sling is fully washable and light weight breathable material in case someone anger wees. (Guess which one)I have included photos for your viewing pleasure. I would 10000% recommend this for all bassholes, bad dogs, and good babies who do not hold still for nail clips. Also as an added bonus I would recommend a spoon of peanut butter to distract the nipper in the sling. While it has great chest and torso support it does lack neck restriction so the doggy contortionists can still nip.

I like this product but I do worry about safety- my dog wiggles a lot in this and I always worry about the D ring loop coming off of the S hooks. I see that there are 2 carabiner but no instructions were provided with what to do with it. I can only assume I can use this instead of the S rings for a more secure hook up.The prob with this is that this will def be a 2 person job as it’s going to be really hard to hook the dog securely by yourself.Even with the S hooks, if your dog is really big or wiggles a lot this could be hard to do solo.I wish this hanging harness came with velcro or snaps so that it stays up while putting your dog in. My dog won’t just step in. I have to put his legs in one at a time and it would be easier if once I got his front legs (or back legs) in I could snap it closed so it stayed on while I was putting his back legs in. I struggle with keeping it on while putting his legs in.Another wish I had was that the head area had some reinforcement under the neck so that my dog can’t move his head down to nip at me while I trim his nails. Wish I could limit his head mobility in this.The size xxs fits my 6 lb dog well. I just had to make sure to put the longer side to the front (there’s no markings as to which side is for his head) otherwise I won’t be able to trim his bum. I will be keeping this as it fits him well and serves its purpose (nail clipping).

This hammock was a lifesaver! As none of my four dogs love having their nails trimmed and to make things worse my Goats don’t like it either! So in order to save our backs from bending over and holding down large dogs and fat goats, we decided to give this a try. The material is soft and durable and quite honestly there’s nothing like having a goat hanging 5 feet in the air and falling asleep while you’re trimming its hoofs. However, I will say getting the animals in place to put their feet through the holes is a bit of a challenge, but Nilla wafers work very well. This is definitely cut down on trimming time. It’s a lot less stressful. And has definitely been an added luxury to have on the farm. Now, if I can find trimmers that work just as well, I’d be all set.
