Excellent product, easy to use, lightweight, happy with time it took to charge.I did think the tiny info sheet deserved to be better for such a good item.

Very plug-and-play, just put the charger on the terminals, plug it into the wall, it starts to charge slowly with smaller amps and volts then increases the amps and volts as minutes pass, eventually to alternator volts as far as I can tell.There is a beep as soon as you connect the terminals though (even before you plug it into the wall) so be warned with that if you are trying to do it during a time or a place where you do not want to make noise. The same beep is also sounded when you press the mode button. The fan is pretty quiet though.It charged my AGM battery well, not sure if it is supposed to detect the battery automatically as it started with the vehicle mode by default (even though I was charging it out of the vehicle), so I set it to AGM just to be safe. I'm also not sure if it would have made a difference keeping it in vehicle mode but, again, I won't be trying just to be safe.Good little battery charger, only time will tell how long it lasts though.

I had a AA 1.5 Amp 6 V/12 V charger bought some years ago although it stated it was charging my 4-year-old battery it wasn't. I had to use a battery pack to start my car most days, although I didn't need the pack for the rest of the day as the short runs I did put some charge back in my MR2. I bought this for about £20 and it fully charged the flat battery in 5-6 hours so a great little device. The only letdown is the instructions which are not good but what we have come to expect from electrical imports from places like China. I wish I had this 4 years ago as I might not have had to replace my previous battery.

This charger has a repair mode, which helps to revive batteries which have Sulphonated plates. I have used it to repair my AGM battery and get a bit more life from it, which it has done successfully. Its easy to used and seems good quality.

Ended up with a flat battery due to me leaving dashcam plugged into cigarette lighter for a few days. I had previously done this when away on holiday for 4 weeks and as a new car I was covered by manufacturer breakdown scheme. Technician attended and after just over an hour trying to charge battery declared it wouldn’t take charge. This resulted in me paying over £200 for replacement battery. On this occasion I decided to invest in charger and after reading reviews settled on this product. The instructions are not too comprehensive but I checked online re procedure for recharging and discovered there is a process re whether your car is negatively earthed or positively earthed. I quickly discovered mine is like the majority negatively earthed and you don’t put negative cable on negative terminal but on earth point on body work (you can trace battery cables coming from negative to earth point, small plate). I duly set up the charger and after an hour noticed it was still going through the 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100% cycle and remaining at 8.4 A charging. As this was around the time the technician declared my last flat battery wasn’t charging I wasn’t holding out a lot of hope, but let it run. As I was watching a sporting event on tv I returned another hour and a half later to discover the 20%-100% cycle was now up to 80% and charging at 5.0A. Thirty minutes later the charger registered FULL and the battery was fully restored😀. Very satisfied with what appears a quality piece of kit.
