Got these for burning man cuz people be taking my bike and then I have to take someone else’s bike so this year I made sure not to lose my bike, even though I did and ended up taking another bike

I wanted a few looks to lock a gate to keep random foot traffic down by people. It does deter casual traffic through the gates, but someone really wanting to get through will just use an appropriate cutting device to disable this lock. It worked very well for my purposes, though I would not use it for locking up anything of great value where determined thieves prowl. They were very inexpensive and the combination was very easy to reset.

I'm obsessed with this lock! We use it to keep our French door fridge closed! We have a loved one with dementia living with us and this has literally saved us thousands of dollars in groceries and energy bills! We can't figure out how to change the combination yet but anyway she can't figure out the code it comes with so it's still perfect. Plus it's really really cute! Going to get a couple more to lock other cabinet doors that are a risk for her (medication etc). Perfection!

Setting up your codes is pretty easy. I figured it out without reading the instructions. It seem durable too. I always prefer codes over keys. You just memorize the codes where as keys are tend to be misplaced or lost forever. I will mainly use this for indoor to secure my personal and valuable items from my suspicious neighbors.

I bought 3 of these to lock my chain link gates when we are not home so no one lets our dog out again. they work well and are easy to program

Day 1: Set the code. We've done this plenty of times before. Feels finicky, but off to school my son rides with his new bike lock for the new school bike rack. Fast forward to 3:45pm. My phone rings at work. It's the school principal. Is my son being expelled from first grade?! No. She is trying to get his bike lock unstuck. No luck. Son walks home to my spouse, who goes to try to free the bike himself. No dice. I ride home from work on my bike, stop by the school on the way to fidget with the lock in the freezing rain. Only after about five minutes do I realize I'm being watched by the school police officer. No, sir, I swear this is my own kid's bike. Bike sleeps at the school. Fast forward, day 2. Spouse ends up freeing the bike with one snip of the bolt cutter. Before the watchful eyes of the school cop again. Yes, we had to steal our own bike from the elementary school bike rack. Lesson 1: This lock is a piece of junk and may trap your bike. Lesson 2: It certainly won't protect your bike, at least not from anybody who has the world's most rudimentary little bolt cutter. Spend the extra $5 on a lock that works.

The lock arrived as promised and is of excellent quality. I had difficulty reading (very small print) and understanding the directions for setting the new combination code, so I contacted the seller. The seller responded promptly and gave me excellent directions for setting a new combination code. I will use this seller again, if the need arises.
