Worth the few extra bucks compared to the cheaper units.
Nice unit. A tad more expensive then the "real cheapies" on the site but well worth it. The video is crystal clear, installation was a breeze, and the PC client and mobile apps are real good. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the mobile app when used on an IPad could use some improvement. The play back function on the iPad doesn't work very well, the menus get cut off.

Its good for the most part
Works like it should clear high quality video. My only problem is not the product or the U.I. on the unite but the mobile app It connects no problem when setting up but when trying to use playback it can be hit or miss and its not the internet speed or connection at fault. I had an issue where the order of my cameras were thrown off after reconnecting the unit in the app everything was clear. And my biggest problem is not having the ability to access the camera via desktop through the Samsung DVR site.

RTSP URL
If anyone buys one of these and needs the RTSP URL it is:rtsp://192.168.0.1:554/ch01/B:0rtsp://192.168.0.1:554/ch02/B:0etc...Change the ip in the URL as necessary. The manual was not clear at all on the URL structure.

Good for my purpose
I replaced an older no-name DVR with this one because the price seemed reasonable, it included the hard drive, and you can select playback to whatever time and date an incident occurred. My old DVR could only play playback RR or FF but had no calendar. For me it was plug and play, the menu and UI are good. I set it up for 4 cameras and made sure that the clock was set correctly.

This is too complicated and the customer service department is not much of a help. they are in Cailifornia and you have to buy a special tv or computer monitor to get it to work. they give you a cd to use for user instructions which if you are young like me, I havent owned a traditional desk top or laptop for several years to provide the monitor or be able to play the cd on the computer to learn how to install it. The app that you use to view on your phone is from the 1950s and is always breaking down or unable to be loaded. this is my first experience with CC Tv monitoring but it was not a good one.

Good dvr
Its a good dvr with zero lag. I wish I could disable the login feature. In comparison it's better than others I tried. I haven't tested its networking capabilities.
