🚀 Supercharge your storage — because speed waits for no one!
The RIITOP PCIe SATA Card is a 6-port SATA 3.0 expansion adapter that plugs into PCIe x4/x8/x16 slots, delivering up to 6Gbps transfer speeds with AMS1166 chipset stability. It supports a wide range of SATA devices including SSDs, HDDs, and optical drives, is compatible with major OS platforms, and requires no drivers for easy plug-and-play installation. Note: Drives connected are for data storage only and cannot be used as boot devices.

it actually works!
i needed just one more SATA port. this worked perfectly as i had a free M.2 slot. worth the $$ if you need to add more SATA drive ports. no drivers needed, worked out of the box.

No complaints
Works as advertised. No issues in my NAS. I would recommend getting the pre-bundled sata cables as it makes for a cleaner install.

Fast! Works without issues! Needed it for 16TB platter drives on new rig.
I only bought this when I was building a 9900 Ryzen system. The motherboard I got only had two SATA ports. I had four 16TB platter drives I wanted to have internally to the PC.Found this one here. I like that it's an ASmedia chipset not something that is known to have issues. I always had good luck Asmedia based controllers. The only features it doesn't support is any kind of RAID which I wasn't using any SATA raid setup. It does NOT have bootable support you will need something else if your going to boot from SATA drives would have to use the Onboard SATA ports to boot from if they work.Keep in mind some motherboards disable onboard SATA ports when the M.2 slot is used. Read the manual for your motherboard for that information. This device is only attended for only for adding more ports. Yes they are SATA III so your going to get max performance out your SATA drives. So far happy with this purchase!

So far so good as a proof of concept for my DIY mini PC NAS project
I used this to turn a humble little N100 mini PC into a nightmare inducing DIY NAS. I picked up a cheap PSU and a Jonsbo N3 8 bay SATA backplane as well as a bunch of cheap used drives for testing. 6 drives from this controller, 2 drives from an m.2 e-key (Wi-Fi slot) to 2x sata adapter (JMB582), and the single built in sata ssd were all picked up by Proxmox. I have no idea how reliable these adapters are nor how well they will work for a NAS. But, functionally and for a proof of concept I was successful in converting a 2 drive capable system to a 9 drive capable system. In terms of jank, it’s probably safer to pickup one of those chinesium n100/n150 NAS motherboards with an integrated ASM1166 controller. Avoid anything with the JMB585 as that chip prevents lower idle/sleep states causing worse power efficiency. But honestly the best bet is to just get an m.2 to pcie riser and an LSi HBA, that would be most reliable providing your m.2 slot is wired for x4 pcie lanes at gen 3.

Great for those needing more sata ports
Quality product, No driver installation necessary, plug and play with a nvme slot. Each drive shows up as a seperate entity, which is much appreciated! As for speeds, no difference between using this and direct connection to a sata port on MB.

Works as intended.
Works as intended. I connected 4 HDDs to this and they seem to be functioning fairly well with speeds of 200mb/s so I’m satisfied. Not sure what speed you’d get if you tried to max out all HDDs at the same time.

Needed work to get working
When I first pluged it in I lost my boot drive almost reinstall my os but then was like let's update bios first. I had to update multiple times because reason and every time it got worse till I was on the latest one finally got my boot drive back. One of the worse first hands on experience I have ever had but it all good now. Work well love the storage pool I have now
