Fans blow, but this laptop rocks.
Screen is great! Music is awesome. Wish their newer laptops retained the physical touch pad buttons because double tapping on the pad for me always misses my intended click. But I'm glad to have found this budget performance laptop for painting programs and light gaming.Only concern, the fans run hard on any games, even non-3D art programs. It may be my performance settings, which is not so intuitive to set. I just get concerned when it gets so hot. Should the high performance setting mean it is allowed to be running full throttle or does this mean that the fans intentionally run faster to compensate? Does the efficiency mode mean computing power is slowed or is it that the fans run less, letting it get hotter than usual? It's a nice heating pad in winter. Might need to get a fan pad for summer. Other notes: XP Pen tablet works well on this laptop, but when plugged in and running, causes Rebel 7 to crash on opening. Weird right? I also use Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Dreamweaver, and Paintstorm Studio (always runs fans hard). Looking into Manga Studio?

Gorgeous screen
It's big and heavy...the case is sturdy aluminum. Booted up fingerprint scanner and facial recognition make logging in easy. The keyboard is easy to read and the keys have just the right feel. When it booted the taskbar wouldn't load after the first update but after all the updates it works fine.

Dial can actually be used for almost anything unlike most reviews say
Got this Laptop in June 2022. Been using it since then and been very happy with it. Seems like a lot of the reviews online state that the dial is only able to be used for photoshop and whichever apps are preprogrammed. The dial can actually be used with any program that makes use of hotkeys. I was able to setup the dial for use with Solidworks and it helps improve my workflow tremendously. The way to do it is by opening the ProArt Creator Hub and going to the control settings tab on the left, and then there will be a dropdown menu with the current apps the dial is setup for, and when opened give the option to add other apps. You can then make a custom dial profile for the app, no need to wait for ASUS to do it for you.

Has Numerous Issues
I had high hopes for this laptop however it was a huge letdown. After only a few month I started experiencing ghost touches on the pad, then a few months later, the screen started to glitch out. A year in the computer completely was unusable. Do not recommend getting!

So far, so good - ASUS ProArt 16" / AMD Ryzen 7 5800H / 32 GB RAM
My almost-3-year-old MacBook Pro (16" Intel i7 / 16 GB RAM) broke my heart! I thought I had bought durability and reliability along with the aura of Apple. But It runs HOT and the graphics bog down miserably when using Adobe products and an external monitor. I'm over it!I just bought the ASUS ProArt 16" / AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 3.2 GHz / 32 GB RAM / 1 TB SSD internal hard drive / Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060. I can't believe I'm happy to be using Windows 11 (versus the Mac OS) - but it's true :-). This ASUS of mine, which I named "WednesDay" (because it arrived on that day) is a great purchase so far. I'm putting a lot of trust in the AMD Ryzen 8-core microprocessor, but I've given Intel enough of my money over the years. The setup on WednesDay was easy, and I'm ready to put her to the test next week. If there are any surprises (good or bad), I'll post updates.Lastly, I did some price comparisons on other artist/gamer laptops. I think this was the best deal around.

Computer looks great but the windows 11 pro will not activate
Windows 11 pro will not activate. Looks like they used a windows 11 home license instead of PRO. Very disappointing. Computer runs fine though. Probably upgrading to windows 10 anyway.

Fantastic machine
I bought this refurbished for $1250 including tax. I'm a osx guy but need a pc with nvidia vram for machine learning and certain technical applications - where you really need the hardware thats lacking in the mac. I hate pcs - and I hate pc laptops the most because they are always ugly and feel cheap. But this machine feels like a proper piece of industrial engineering - it's beautiful and feels solid. It so far hasnt felt hot or noisy and I have to say, I love it.

Best budget upgrade I’ve made in years.
This isn’t what I wanted, but at the 700$ difference in price with almost the exact same specs I went ahead and bought it. So glad I did. Solved all my problems and then some I’ve been putting off replacing a 2 year old HP. Perfect for what Design work, media editing, and some gaming after work while staying mobile. If you’re on a budget I highly recommend this!!
