100 Brass Gold Tobacco Pipe Screens

They're alright. I was used to buying 5 for $0.85 at my local smoke shop so I thought this was sort of a bargain but when they arrived I could tell they were a little thin and when I tried using them I also found out that I have to double layer them to work as nice as my old ones but other than that they'll get you where you need to if you catch my drift.

If you want screens, or even just want to try using one, buy these. I got easily 120+ in my bundle and they're great quality, as good or better than the ones you'd find locally for a much better price. They don't fall apart after extended use and they're bendy enough to fit any sized pipe without being so bendy that they feel flimsy. I ordered this around a year ago I think and I'm still using them from the same order, haven't run through all of them and I am a daily smoker who swaps these out often. They came in a baggie full of little paper 5-packs of the things so it's easy to count how many you have, easy to distribute them to the places you smoke in case you want to replace one during a session, and it keeps you from hurting yourself reaching into a bag full of looped wire with exposed edges. I'd say that they have a problem of being too fine and therefore clogging easily, but when you clog one... just replace it, you have 120 of them now, and the finer screens definitely give a better smoking experience. 5 star all the way, one of the best values you can get on amazon.

Not sure what is the best steel, copper, or brass. I've heard that if you buy brass they just take nickle plated brass. I've also heard that steel and cooper sometimes get coated in something to make them shiny that releases a fume of some sort when you smoke it. So I was pretty skeptical on every screen. Needless to say, being the health weirdo that I am, when the screens came here I took a pair of wire cutters and cut them in half to look at the metal to check if the metal was just plated. It wasn't from what I could see. So then I took a normal lighter and held the screen with pliers and let the flame go over it. I couldn't see any fumes of any sort while I could with my store bought steel screens. So I gave the other screens to my friend and kept these haha I haven't done anything with copper screens yet, but for now I trust brass the most when it comes to pipe screens. Great deal in my opinion too btw.

100 brass screens, 20 packs of 5 screens. I was expecting the various sizes as advertised but received all 3/4 inch. Honestly that is all i really needed anyway so it isnt an issue. I just wanted to let other people know, just in case they actually needed the smaller sizes. I gave this 4 of 5 stars only because it is advertized for multiple sizes and I only got 1 size.

It's been 12 days since I've had these delivered. I got one out and set the bag down somewhere in my room and lost it (of course). Since i've been cleaning my room for like 5 months now, i just have piles of messes with particular stuff but i always find stuff i'm not looking for. Maybe I'll find this little baggie in a couple weeks.I've been using the SAME little screen for 12 days now. It's black and resined as heck but it hasn't smoked through or gave out on me. 10 stars.edit: found it. It's now august 2nd.. over 20 days with using the same screen. Hasn't burned through or torn in any way. good pipe screens for those stems with large openings

please let me tell all you smokers reading this whom are also frustrated with cheap-@ss pipescreens which break a/o develope holes after only one or two bowls of herb. brass is thicker, stronger, and does not get caught in the rug or on the pile of cotton when cleaning your pipe when accidentally dropped and they are NOT flipsy, break-apart-in-ones-hands crap!i bought a 200 hundred count pack of these last summer around april and just reordered and got mine in.most tobacco shops are not selling these on the common street corner anymore and have to be purchased online via amazon or facebook now. please do yourself a favor and buy in bulk so these last u a long while.cheer!3/11/14

This is an absolute great deal. A pack of ten of these can go for 3 bucks at a head shop. I was disappointed when I got my package and realized there wasn't nearly 100. I counted 53. That's still an alright deal but it's BS how I didn't get what I was told I was getting.I did a burn test which is done simply by using prongs to hold a screen, holding the screen in a lighter flame, and seeing if any fumes come off. No fumes came off when I tested them and they did not burn.
