Victorian Maid Costume Colonial Women Dress with Apron

Very disappointed with the construction of this garment. For $43 I expected it to be better than it is. The fabric is very loud and not breathable. The proportions are very odd. The measurement between neck and shoulder is too long. The seam sits about 2" away from my shoulder. Even though the sleeve is a puff style, the seam should sit on the shoulder. The forearms are way too tight. Because of this, I can't even bend my arms to zip up the dress. The waistline is way too low for the style of dress this is. It just looks awkward. The collar is ill proportioned as well. It is too wide and gapes. The whole thing is just a mess and uncomfortable. Maybe there isn't a problem with smaller sizes but it definitely seems like the manufacturer was guessing how to make a larger sized garment.

I felt this item ran big and I could definitely have gone smaller; I am 34-26-34. I ordered the small. The apron is separate and ties in the back. Thankfully the apron drew the dress in, but the neck and shoulders were still large. If I can post more pics related to fit to this post I will. The quality was good and it served its purpose. I would recommend this item.

It was a Halloween costume, The top was a little tight. The Apron was also a little tight around the waist. I usually wear a medium and the one I ordered was medium. The costume is well made and looked very nice.

Given the cost I expected the quality to be lower than it was. Suited the event, and happy to have if needed in the future.

I love the Victorian maid outfit for it's authentic 1890's English " Upstairs Maid" style and the beautiful and carefree fabric.I wore it as my uniform when I served my homemade Pastries to over 100 guests at a recent community presentation.

GREAT LOOKING & WELL MADE... was so sad that I had to return it as I ordered a larger size expecting it to a little loose but instead was way too large for me to wear. If I had enough time I would have replaced with a smaller size.

The costume was cute but it was impossible to wear. Im 5'2" and while I got XXL in case it was too small ( which is usually the case) but if I had gotten my size in a large I would have had to be a toothpick to fit into it. The dress got longer as the sizes got bigger. While it was pretty its sizes were not going to work for me.

This is my second return. I wear a size 12-14 and the XL did not close at all or come close to closing. I returned it and got an XXL. This was extremely tight. Not to mention the apron was on my waist and the straps kept falling. The dress was too long even with 4.5 inch heels. Not true to size at all. Not happy.
