Not Your Mother's Plump for Joy Thickening Hair Lifter, 8 Ounce

This product works magic. I have very thin, limp hair. I have never been satisfied with the results of supposed «volumizers ». Just a little bit of this gel worked into my hair (wet or dry) and then blown dry makes my hair look much thicker. It lasts a long time. I have ordered several more bottles!

This volumizing spray works great for fine hair that one needs to add more body. I love this. I sure do miss the regular shampoo they used to sell.

I have wavy/curly (type 2b/2c) medium thick hair, and while most Not Your Mother's products are incredible for my hair, this does... absolutely nothing. It doesn't lift or add volume, and it doesn't add shine. It's also kind of impossible to spray evenly. Because it's sort of a gel-like consistency, to put it in my hair, I have to spray it into my hands, then put it in that way. In my opinion, it kind of defeats the purpose of being IN a spray bottle, but I digress. It smells nice, which is the only good thing about it for me. This might be great for people with very fine or limp hair, but if your hair is wavy and/or a bit thicker, it probably won't do anything.

I have very soft fine hair which is wonderful if you like your hair laying flat on your head (which I do not). Products have failed me over and over again as they make my hair too dry or coat it too much. This spray seems to be just the right weight to give lift without bad effects. Of course I think it's a bit pricey but it works so I'll buy it.

Medical conditions have caused my hair to thin and fall out. I've been using this thickening gel for a couple years, and it makes such a big difference. So much so, that I'm not as self-conscious about how my hair looks when I use it.I apply it shortly after a shower, when it's still wet (but not soaking wet), all throughout, from about an inch from the scalp all the way to the ends. Comb through with my fingers to coat it evenly, and then in the morning, brush through upside down.The texture of my hair isn't the same after using it - it's not as shiny and silky. (Which affects how a straightener or curling iron goes through.) But it definitely makes it look like I have more hair than I do, and it's not as flat either. Also, my hair doesn't get as oily as fast as it would when I don't use it, giving me an extra day or two, so that I'm only having to wash it twice a week (as recommended by my dermatologist).

I am not sure how well this works. I give more credit to Way to Grow shampoo and conditioner. Am writing this however to say that the fragrance is way to strong sort of a smoky fruit type of odor which i do not like at all consequently will not purchase this product again.
