It came damaged
The story is great but the book had been put into the packaging with its cover folded in half which damaged it.I don’t want to give it low stars as the story itself and the drawings are great.I’m just really disappointed that it came to me damaged.

The story is once again quite good, but the quality of the book is not. The cover is washed out, like it's been exposed to the sun for months, and the corners are all bent. I'm not impressed with the condition of which it came in.

Such a bloody good story. I heard that the anime was good so I started with the manga and it does not disappoint. They're only 4 volumes in this series which makes it such a "light read" but a good one at that.

Noblesse Obliged
More spoilage than at a picnic that's been baking in strong sunshine, kiddies.Lydia and Edgar are being hosted by a man who found them after the events of the previous volume (where Edgar took a bullet to protect Lydia, and she drugged him, but stayed anyway). Seems Edgar has introduced the two of them as brother and sister; when Lydia complains that their host surely can't believe that, Edgar replies he could have said they were lovers. But before he can tease her much more, Raven and Ermine arrive, and Lydia can see how these three share a close bond, like family. Edgar ends up on his own with Ermine, who tries to seduce Edgar. Although he's not entirely unwilling, he says he mustn't. Ermine pleads for Edgar to give up his search for the sword and its sapphire, and Edgar realizes that Nico is listening in. He throws Nico into the fire, though not all the way in, and threatens Nico. When Nico leaves, Ermine kisses Edgar... which Lydia sees. Nico finds her after that, and tells her she can't trust Edgar, but then Lydia sees Raven, who tells her about the spirit of carnage that is trapped within him. Raven feels that what control he has over the spirit is due to Edgar's influence, and Raven asks Lydia to do nothing to harm Edgar (implying he might harm her if she did).Lydia is more confused that ever, and they make their way to the island to search for the sword that would secure the Blue Earl title for Edgar. Lydia succeeds in unravelling the first part of the riddle, in the grounds around the castle on the island, and Edgar suggests that he go with Lydia while Raven and Ermine search in the opposite direction. Lydia then reveals that she saw Edgar with Ermine, but Edgar's answer makes her believe that Ermine is incredibly important to Edgar, and she states that any woman would be happy with Edgar. But then Huxley arrives, also having her father in tow. Edgar surprises both Lydia and Professor Carlton by claiming to love Lydia and be unable to live without her. But after this, Ermine arrives on the scene, and Edgar tells Ermine to escape with Lydia. The girls, however, are captured, and Ermine is beaten, though Lydia is merely locked in a cell. When Lydia states that she knows that Edgar plans to use her, Ermine explains that Edgar believes that to get the sword, he will need to make a human sacrifice, and intends to kill Lydia. Lydia accepts this, so when Edgar and Raven rescue them both, she starts trying to figure out how to save both herself and her father. Ermine, however, suddenly tells Edgar that she felt that if Edgar succeeded in becoming the new Blue Earl, she would lose him, so she has been sending information about Edgar's location to "Prince". She then grabs Lydia and jumps off a high tower.Raven leaps and grabs both women. Edgar takes Lydia up, and tells Raven to pull his sister up, but Ermine begs for Raven to let go. Reluctantly, Raven obeys Ermine, who disappears in the ocean, and Edgar is heart-broken. Yet he returns after a moment and asks Lydia to help him continue the search. Finally, they arrive in the lowest part of the castle, and Lydia realizes that the "young girl" there is really a mermaid, also called merrow. Nico helps her to see where the sword actually is, and she grabs it before Edgar can, and holds it as though to stab Edgar.Yet, even believing that Edgar meant to kill her all along, Lydia can't bring herself to kill him, and Edgar takes the sword from her. He then says he did intend to kill her, that he can't lie to her, and he raises the sword... and slides the blade across his own hand. Edgar then vanishes, and Lydia realizes that the merrows have claimed him. The merrow girl gives the sword to Lydia, but Lydia sees it doesn't have the sapphire, although she's begun to figure out what to do next. Her father arrives with Huxley, who also intends to claim the sword. Lydia tells Raven that she trusts him to deal with Huxley and his men: she's going to save Edgar, and she tells Nico to take her to where the merrows live. Nico only agrees when Lydia says she'll go without Nico if she has to.The Fairy Doctor has a job to do, and she succeeds. But having done that much, what lies in store for Lydia, Edgar, and Raven?
