The best pencils for marking lines on fabric!
So happy I finally found these replacement pencils . These have been my go to marking pencils for quilting and general sewing for many years. First time I ever used them was back in middle school sewing class, ( that was over 45 years ago). I used my last pencil about seven years ago. These chalk pencils are great for drawing the lines for quilting stencils on dark fabrics. The package has four colors, white, yellow, blue, and pink. Blue and pink shows up nicely on white to light colored fabrics, whereas the yellow, white and pink show up nicely on the dark fabrics like navy, dark green, dark gray, or black. I usually use other marking pencils for the medium colored fabrics. I have used many products for marking my quilting; the air soluble, sometimes do not disappear or wash away, the water soluble, you have to press pretty hard in order for it to even leave a mark and does not always show on the darker fabrics and the heat erasable markers sometimes come back and do not wash away. I have used a regular lead pencil with so so results. the other product I use for quilt markings are the children’s washable fine tip markers that do in fact wash away. Pros: the pencil sharpener gets your point nice and fine, the little brush does a fair job of brushing the marks away in case you make a mistake, all of the markings wash away and do not leave any stains. Cons: do not drop them because the leads do break, sometimes the lead when sharpening them can crumble.

Great pencil set, worth the cost for effortless results
I'v always used cheap colored pencils to mark fabric. Tends to be permanent and hard to see. After trying out these charcopels, i'm hooked. They come in 4 colors Blue, Yellow, Red, White perfect for just about any fabric and they effortlessly leave a bright mark that can be easily brushed away with the included duster caps. The sharpener is a huge bonus and works great. These should last years, worth the cost.

Great for marking most fabrics!
I did a lot of research on different marking pens and tracing wheels before settling on these. I remember my mum having a set in her sewing kit, and these are just as great. The different color options are fantastic to have on hand and make marking on different color fabrics very easy. The included pencil sharpener is a great little bonus as they do dull quickly if you're using them a lot. The little brushes are neat and I haven't had any issues with staining.

works!
Bought this because it seemed like the best option on Amazon for the price and for my use (since I don't need 10 different colors of chalk or anything). It came in the mail intact and the lead didn't break even though I've dropped them a few times. The color choices are just right so that I have something contrasting to draw with for any color of fabric. The chalk also easily sticks to the fabric. Very useful and definitely recommended.

Hardly shows up - Brush too stiff and does nothing
These pencils hardly show up without scratching the fabric. Except the blue, it does show up, but if the brushes are meant to brush off the chalk... they are stiff so they scratch the fabric by the time the blue starts to disappear because it doesn't brush off easily. waste of money.

Just About My Favorite Fabric Markers Ever!
These Chacopel marking pencils are just about my favorite marking tool. They mark well, can be sharpen d to a very fine point (sharpener included with each package) and they fade and wash out completely....though I do check if I have any doubts about a particular fabric. There is a color that is suitable for any project. There is one yellow and one white and a combo pencil that has pink and blue. I am back for another order of the !
