Pakkon Wide Mouth Glass Mason JarI bought this jar for Kombucha. It works nicely. It is not the heaviest glass that can be found but it is not fragile by any means ! The width at the opening is 4 inches across and since I use cloths over the top instead of the lid I had to search for rubber bands. I had a hard time with that. I bought Grifiti Band Joes 2, 4, 6, 9, 12 Inch Assorted Standard 20 Pack which are silicone and they work great. Great kombucha tea jar for a reasonable price!
I bought this jar to use for making kombucha tea. My family loves the tea and it seemed that one jar was not going to be enough for us to have a constant stock of the beverage on hand.So, I found this lovely inexpensive jar and decided to give it a try. Holds a lot and seals to keep out bugs
Love these! I use them for all of my baking supplies. My mom had one from old packaging growing up (still does) and I always wanted these for storage. When I got them I had to get more. They hold a lot. I have close to 2 bags of flour in one. They keep thi gs very fresh and NO BUGS can get in so I never have to worry about them ruining my supplies.

Item arrived in a very timely manner and exactly as described. Packaging was superb. This is a large glass jar, an was very well protected for shipping. Will absolutely return for any future needs. I bought this to make a large batch of pickled eggs. Jar held 2 dozen eggs, plus jalapeños, pickles, carrots, and green beans with no trouble at all.

They work for what I need, but I wouldnt use them for canning or storing food. The lids are thought to loosen once tightened, prolly from the rubber seal, and i dont think they wouldn survive being knock over. 1 of the jars arrive cracked where it appears a bubble formed during manufacturing, the other 3 were fine

Best Jar for Sourdough starter
I love this big jar!! I am using it for sourdough starter. I like it because the starter is not running all over and getting out of hand like it does with smaller jars.I was so pleased to receive the jar quickly and was able to get the starter up and going strong.

I do enjoy this mason jar it is incredibly clear and seals well.I would caution ordering these with other heavy products as mine came shipped with numerous other heavy objects causing one of the two jars to break before it arrived. I do not blame the seller as they took great lengths to wrap the jar in bubble wrap it is just unfortunate that the shipment it came in had several issues.That being said the one that survived the ordeal is wonderful and I will order more once I've been refunded for the broken product.Pictured: Wrapped Jar, Wrapped Broken Jar, 2 pictures of the size and clearness of the jar that survived.

Great for tequila infusions!
This jar is massive! I used it to make tequila infusions with a lot of fruit and it worked very well. My only gripe is that it's listed as a wide mouth mason jar so I was hoping that other wide mouth lids (like the pourable type) would work and they do not. Completely different size. I was very happy that this thing arrive in 1 piece though... I totally expects\ed a box full of shrapnel.

Perfect for Kombucha
Bought these for brewing Kombucha and they are perfect! My batch calls for 14c of tea and 2 cups of starter tea and fits with perfect amount of room! The lid is handy if you need to transport your Buch as well.

Not recommended for fermented food
This jar is ideal for to storage cookies, pasta etc .Not ideal for fermented drinks/food. It is small andthe mouth is not wide enough to remove a scobyfrom it. Not recommended for fermented food.
