Years ago I received one of these at a mescal tasting event in San Francisco and have been looking for something similar to purchase ever since. These are an exact match. Perfect!

Bought this set of copitas as a housewarming gift for a friend who is a recent mezcal enthusiast. She loves them! Great size, nice that they come as a set, great value/price. Good size for sipping as well, not too large, and good that they are short and broad, rather than the tall shot-glass style cups. Definitely recommend!

What you get is a small dish, made of red ceramic clay, much flatter than a shot glass, but holding about the same amount. They are small for sure, and I thought might be a bit larger. Picture primitive ceramic clay just an inch or two in the fingers with about a 1 inch depth that hold an ounce.I enjoyed taking these to a party to introduce some friends to a good Mezcal (if it has a worm, chug it or toss it into the trash). The price is a bit hard to justify. Once they arrived I wish I had made my own since I am capable with ceramics. These are basically 1 oz small, flatter, shot glass. I wanted the authentic stamp in them, so I bought, but a simple shot glass is going to produce the same tasting, however the clay/color and flatter open dish is going to be more unique for most people.These cups are easy to make, and though I do not appreciate what I got very much, you would be hard pressed to make them yourself unless you have worked with ceramics and red clay. I certainly wouldn't press sets of them for less if I were making them myself.... it is just not worth the time, unless I were selling them, then it would be easy to produce hundred in no time. Making custom sets is available from many ceramic artists on Etsy.In the future, after giving these to guests, I would make my own. If you do not have this ability, take a ceramics class and then make all you want. It is a very simple object and you can glaze and customize to add even greater presentation.Still, these are fun to have and use, and getting them at about $5 is almost reasonable.

Love the copitas made for Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal. Hope the company who bought out Del Maguey will continue to provide these copitas, (even though they seem pricy for clay copitas that only bear a stamped brand name no glaze design, etc.)

I love these. they are so perfect for doing mescal shots! so cool. I used them at a party and everyone was so impressed. Makes the mescal taste so much better then is a regular shot glass!

These are fantastic for drinking mezcal. It makes it much more ceremonious and fun. I wish they were glazed on the outside but they've got it where it's needed and, I'm guessing, the lack of glazing on the outside prevents them from slipping out of the hand.

As described, great addition to our bar ware to make an authentic mezcal experience.
