Bought these to add to my collection; I bought a couple pair last year - and honestly all of my LAPG items have been top notch, with one minor exception I'll detail later. The fit and sturdiness of these shorts is nothing less than amazing. They keep their color thru multiple washings, and the waterproofing (which I believe is scotchgard?) seems to last as well (though you'll probably want to re-apply after a while - some of the pairs of my pants seem like they could use another coat). These have plenty of pockets on the outside to handle just about anything you need, the extra gusseting in critical areas like the crotch and seat perform excellently. I'm looking at a pair of my older shorts right now, and they look almost as good as the day I bought them, and I've worn them regularly, both while hiking and daily activities. The hems show no sign of extreme wear at the edges; no fraying or anything like that. The construction of these shorts is much better than anything you can buy elsewhere in my opinion at the same price-point. The only downsides I have noticed - and this applies also to some tactical LAPG pants I have bought in the past - have to do with two areas: The beltloops need a double-stitch or something on the bottom and top; I found when I got into a car that they would "catch" and tore away. Doesn't happen every time, but does happen. Same thing with the rear pockets; they are buttoned, not velcro'd like the front pockets, and the flap would catch on things, and pop the buttons off. I'd like to see them use velcro closures there instead. Other than those small weaknesses, they've performed beautifully, and even with such damage, they continue to perform well, which is a testament to their overall durability.

Love these shorts for work! I’m on a ladder a lot with a work belt and zip ties. They actually have a cut out on the cargo pockets for zip ties so it’s super easy to carry them and grab them at will. There are two plastic hooks by the belt loops for securing tools. The pants and shorts stay almost wrinkle free but are still comfortable to wear. I’m happy they updated the brand not to include L.A. gear on them because I’d always sharpie that out but now there isn’t a label and I’m much happier with that choice. They’re also grey just to hang out in even if not for work and can be worn with a polo for a dressier look since they don’t wrinkle easily or become washed out when washed. (Might want to size up as they seem to run an inch small in the waist)

Fit very well and are very comfortable. I will buy again.

All the right features in a great pair of Summer Shorts. Pockets are well designed and the fit is on the money. These shorts are also "Teflon" treated to ward off stains and the material isn't the thin cheap type either. These will last a very long time in the harshest condition. I previously had purchase 2 pair directly from LAPG, when I seen these on Amazon I just had to buy another pair. One feature that made me buy these shorts was that the "Cell Phone" front pockets will accommodate a Samsung S20 while in a OtterBox Defender Case very comfortably without having to struggle in usage or apprehension it might fall out since the cell phone does not stick out of the pocket. I am very happy with my purchase and considering the regular long leg paints. Finally a great product at a great price.

Look great. Pockets are deep. Material doesn’t stretch, and the Inseam is only 11 inches. The sales photo is very deceptive.If you’re looking for longer inseam shorts, these are not them.From the photo, to my disappointment, I thought they would be longer.
