Cardinal Gates Outdoor Deck Shield for Pets, 15-Feet, Clear

We bought this to use as a rain shield on a chicken coop, so we maintain visual contact of the chickens. Plexiglass was expensive in the sizes I needed. This was perfect, as a substitute. We ended up drilling our holes at the correct intervals. It is crystal clear. Was easy to cut with scissors, but still durable. Would purchase again, and would also be good as a deck guard like is intended.

We ordered this to baby and cat proof our second floor balcony in our apartment. It works really well! It was very easy to install, although I would recommend using a drill to make the holes instead of the hole-punch they send with the plastic. It punched two holes and then wouldn't punch through the plastic anymore. They give you about 40 zip ties, which was plenty for us. It is nice thick plastic and crystal clear. You can hardly tell it's there. The only thing that gives it away is the reflective surface. I feel so much safer having my son out on our balcony with this installed!EDIT: So I am updating my review of this product. We have had it just over a year now, and it has several holes and cracks in it, ranging from golf ball sized to a huge gaping hole. The first crack/hole appeared last winter when the weather turned cold. Our dog got excited about another dog outside and seemed to punch a small hole right through it when he put his paws up onto the plastic. In the product information it says it's guaranteed not to become brittle or crack for three years. It also says it's "UV protected". I think being out in the sun all summer and then being outside in the winter caused it to weaken. We live in Michigan where it can get quite cold. Maybe in an area with milder winters it would not have been an issue. It doesn't say that it should be brought in for the winter, but maybe that would have helped. However, we go out on our balcony all year long so taking it down would defeat the purpose of baby/cat proofing our balcony. We patched up the holes with clear packing tape and while it doesn't look terrible, it definitely looks a bit junky now. I reinforced some of the cracks with tape to hopefully stop them from turning into full blown holes. I was hoping this would last a lot longer for how much we paid for it.

The cable ties that come with this product are beyond worthless. More than half snapped and they break off in the wind.

60 mile per hour winds and the shield was destroyed I suppose because I didn't put enough screws to it. If you use this make sure it is totally down flat and no room for vibration.
