Great for soldering copper pipes in an old house
Needed to do some work on an old house and wanted to use copper instead of PEX. I needed to sweat joint in tight areas close to old wood. This worked great !!!

useful for soldering pipes
I believe soldered copper pipe is still the gold standard for plumbing and all I use, except for repair situations that are very tight. This is nice when using a torch close to joists/studs - I tack in place between my work and the wood, then no issues with charring or worse, fire.

Junk melted to exhaust pipe.
This product was damaging to my exhaust pipes in a sense that they turned black and had a melted residue on them. Says it's rated to 1800. That is 100 percent wrong. Do not buy this product.
