Can this light be installed in a costco altair al-2163 led dusk to dawn wall lantern?

These units are designed for indoor light fixture retrofits and may not handle outdoors weather issues.

Even this smaller size led unit gives off much brighter light than the old tubes did. Compare Lumens output/ Brightness! to pick the led unit you need. There are larger size Led panels listed but be careful they fit inside the fixture globe. I have used the small size Leds in all size fixtures and am happy with the results.

Could the purchaser eliminate the led driver and power the lamp directly with 12v dc in boat?

Do you mean a tcp 32058/35 circle fluorescent tube? if yes then remove the bulb, its plug, and cut off the ballast. Wire the led power box directly to the feed/black and neutral/white wires and attach the light ring to the fixture with the supplied magnets. Quick and easy and much cheaper than replacing a ballast or even some of the pricier bulbs.
