Very durable material; excellent gloves
The "Material 4X" that these gloves are made of is pretty amazing. I looked back at my purchases, and five pairs of these have lasted me just over three years, using them five days a week at work. That's about 7 1/2 months per pair. I've been impressed with them since my first pair back then, and the quality and construction does not seem to have changed at all since that time. The material these gloves are made from has amazed me from my first pair. The "Material 4X" is very, very tough and durable and has never once worn through, and only a couple small holes have ever developed in the black material. As other reviewers have said, when they fail, it's the stitching that starts slowly letting go, usually my right index or inside pinky fingertip first. I put about a 1/4 inch cut in the palm of my current pair months ago and it hasn't gotten any bigger. This Material 4X is really something. Also, I seem to have long thumbs, because most gloves do not have long enough thumbs to fit me right, but these gloves do. They fit better than any other glove I've used. I have bigger hands (not giant, but big) and the XL size fits just right. A little snug when new, but within a couple days of use they stretch and then fit great and are super comfortable for the months until I wear them out. The "Fast-Fit" feature is great. I don't like gloves with the velcro strap at the wrist for daily use. Too much work to get on and off as frequently as I do that. These go on and off quick and easy, and the Fast-Fit is actually the reason I bought my very first pair of these...easy on and off. They're not waterproof or resistant at all, and if you touch something that's wet (which semi trailers often are) the gloves get wet. But being synthetic material, they dry very fast. A few minutes laid over the defrost or heater vent in the truck and they're dry, and the exposure to moisture doesn't seem to shorten their life at all. Pairs last just as long in the winter (more wet days) as they do in the summer. They're a good mid-weight too, being protective from cold metal and cold air in the winter, but not too hot on warm summer days. They provide good feel of whatever you're handling, like small nuts and bolts, pens or pencils, etc. I replaced a tiny light bulb in the turn signal/marker light on the fender of my truck just this morning, and did the whole job with these gloves on.I'll keep buying these gloves for as long as they keep making them. I just love 'em. Best every day work gloves for my purposes that I've ever found. If you're someone who doesn't wear gloves every day but wants a pair to have around the house for when you need them, these will probably last for years, maybe even a lifetime, depending on how often you wear them and how you use them.

Made to take a beating
I’ve worn these to do everything outside the house except shovel snow, as they aren’t insulated.

Last Pretty Well
These aren't winter gloves. They're everyday hand protection. They fit well and they're durable.

Very comfortable
I work outside running heavy equipment and these I wear all day and they are very comfortable. Possibly the best gloves that Mechanic's makes.

I’m Saying They Run Small
I’m 6’3” 200 w/long but not mitt fingers. Used the sizing measurements and purchased an XXL, with plans to run liners in them (you can see the liners hanging out the top in the photo)These are well made gloves but just barely long enough for my fingers. As they say on “Are you Being Served” hope they will “Ride Up with Wear”.

Best gloves for a mechanic. Hands down ;)
Very durable and comfortable. I use these gloves everyday while working on cars and trucks as a professional mechanic. I have tried many different types of gloves and really don’t like to wear anything other than nitrile disposable gloves because how quickly finger dexterity is lost with thicker gloves. These gloves however do not seem to affect fine motor movement nearly as much. The 4x material really does a good job of not interfering with that type of work. They are also (obviously) a lot more durable than a disposable glove.Another plus is that they clean up very well. A little simple green and some gritty soap.....then just wash them like you would wash your hands (with the gloves on). Rinse with hot water and let them dry out. I have a spare set to use while the others are drying.Saves a time of money over disposable gloves as well.

New favorite
I'm a professional mechanic, I love the other fast fits too but they don't usually last more then a week which is basically a waste of money. These didn't fit well at the fingertips at first, but after a day they broke in and started working perfect for me. So far way for durable.
