Can you wire these direct to 120v switch, buy tombstones,  and just buy clips to mount

These lights can be directing connected to 120VAC through a switch. You do not need a ballast. That's a nice feature about these lights. I use tombstones (isolated) to furnish voltage to one side of the light. I use tombstones on the other side of the light simply to hold the light in place. They do not need to be wired.

I'm not sure what you mean by clips to mount. I assume you mean to mount or hold the light in place. In this case, you would be correct. You could use the tombstone to get power to your light and hold the other end for support. How you mount them is your discretion. I'm sure you could get creative.  I have a couple in the attic held by tie wraps.

Question 2

The description in the add says single sided connection. what does this mean?

Quote: "The single sided connection means you will need to have retrofit wiring on your existing fixture."  But you already knew that if you are shopping for ballast bypass bulbs. More directly. Single Ended Power (SEP) means both of the power connections you make when removing the ballast are on the same end.  Double Ended Power (DEP) means that you will have one wire connected on one end and the other wire connected on the other end.  If you are setting up your fixture for the first time, You can set it up for DEP or SEP, after it is converted then you will have to buy the bulb supported by your wiring.

What is involved with retrofit wiring on my existing fixture? Is that included with the lights?

I suggest You Tube. Search ballast-bypass fixture retrofit for single ended only T8 LED bulbs. Either 2 or 4 bulb lamp  fixtures as mine are get the retrofit the same.   Sunco 5000 kelvin 18watt bulb brightness considered a cool white is a nice bright bulb. Type B bulbs are for direct wiring fixtures which you would have after ballast-bypass retrofitting. Only one end of the fixture is wired. The bulbs need to be installed one way. The label showing L-line and N-neutral on bulb inserted in lamp holders of the wired end of fixture. The other end lamp holders have no wiring. If bulbs are inserted reversed will not work.

Question 4

Do these replace the existing fluorescent tubes?

They did not in mine. They fit fine in the fixtures but the ballasts had to be bypassed for them to work.  They do seem to be a solid tube and are very bright but having to have an electrician bypass my ballasts for extra $$$ and 9 out of the ten tubes in a ten pack box which worked they were not as advertised as plug n play and if you buy a ten pack all ten should work.  But yes t8 fixture 4 foot length they are supposed to be a direct plug n play replacement for fluorescent tubes and some others had no issues.
