Initial impression is very good
I read every review and was hesitant to purchase this phone but after 3 days of having it I'll say it's the best phone I've ever had. Upgraded from Samsung Galaxy S8 ActivePoints:-It DOES work just fine on AT&T 4G calling and 5G data- sim car was from my Galaxy-It's a big heavy phone- it fits my large hands fine but I could imagine other people would have issues-super fast and responsive- faster than my S8 ever was-works seemlessly with google pay and with my Samsung 'Wear' devices-good battery life so far-FLIR camera is awesomeNo downsides yet- but if I have any failures I will report it here

Not water proof!
This phone will not Bluetooth connect to my house stereo. It does however, connect to my car stereo which is much older. It also does not receive notifications from SimpliSafe or Amazon and I've tried everything. All other notifications seem to work fine. The major problem with this phone is that it is not waterproof. I submerge the phone for about 2 minutes and one foot of water. Immediately afterward I noticed that the SIM card wasn't working. I removed the card and there was a lot of water in the slot. I dried it out and it started working again. I had 60% battery at the time. 15 minutes later the phone was extremely hot, had 2% battery life, and the screen said shutting down due to battery overheat. The next day I tried plugging it in and it came on and started charging. Everything is fine now except that my camera is very foggy. I've had Cat phones for years, submerged them many times, and have never had any issues like this. This is completely unacceptable for a rugged smartphone. The seller has been unresponsive and ulefone told me to put the phone in rice to dry it out. I'm not sure how that's supposed to make the phone waterproof.

A Very Rugged Phone!!!
At first impression the phone is impressive. Its is comfortably heavy and very sturdy. The fingerprint reader works very well and the android 11 integration is very good. The phone may underwhelm some users who are coming from upper tier Apple or Samsung handsets. Although the camera units used are actually decent, the hardware rendering falls short of taking full advantage of the sensors output. Pictures in non-optimal lighting are very noisy. In low light photos, the ISO generated noise is reminiscent of the beginning of digital photography. However, if you do use the night-mode...the photos are actually quite stunning. If you shoot in any other mode, expect some noise which is either immediately evident or seen through zooming the image.A second shortcoming is the phones use of the lower resolution Lepton sensor. Perhaps it is a 2.5...but it is certainly not a 3.5 as installed in the Cat S62 Pro. However, for MOST people, the thermal imagery is VERY good and the MSX integration is there. For general uses like screening for drafts or uninsulated walls, this sensor is adequate. The only real difference is that a 3.5 sensor can easily see features like joists and studs behind walls. Overall i would rate the thermal system as good. The speaker system is located on the back of the phone which is not ideal. It sounds good, but is easily muted by its position unless you lay the phone down on its screen. The PTT button worked perfectly with zello, teamspeak and echolink. This was well integrated. I actually rate the phone at 3.5 stars. I would have been higher if the cameras were better. Again, if you are not coming from an ios 10 or android 10 device, you will be pleased with it.

Get a case and screen protection
I am rough on phones. I use them every day in demanding environments (hot, cold, dirty). I get the best protection I can for them. This is the first phone I ever broke the screen (one crack on one corner), despite having gorilla glass installed. It might have been a perfect storm event, as it fell face first about two feet onto a pointed rock. Truth be told, the fingerprint reader does not work as well as past Ulefone devices, like the Armor 9 T. Face recognition works about 50% of the time. Battery life is excellent. Honestly, I leave this phone in the truck, and use my old Armor 9T for the tough work. Hopefully Ulefone will do better on the glass in the future, as I just can't do without the IR camera. That works every time. And the photos are first class also.

The worst rugged phone ever
This phone is not compatible with many carriers, the screen breaks very easily, it's not as rugged as described and really not worth the price it costs. Also, I've only had it for 6 1/2 months now and it does not work. It just stopped working! Don't spend your hard earned dollar on this phone.

Not bad. Thermal is fun.
Regular camera zoom is terrible!. And it didn't come with c cable port covers. So not water resistant.

Not as Good as 9 but 5G
The fit and finish is sub par compaired to armor9. Glass frame does not protect screen, chassis is not as sturdy, no headphone jack or dust cover over port, slick non ruberized back slips out of pocket, lower res camera(48 vs 64Mp). Custom feature button is nice.Just adding 5G to the 9 would be better.
