Winning Solutions Scrabble Pearl Edition with Rotating Board

This is for my fiance and I for Christmas so we haven't opened it yet. The item was shipped fast and arrived well within expected time. I am very excited to share this with him and we will surely enjoy it. It arrived in great condition, no damage from shipping and it looks like it will be exactly what I was expecting.Update 12/30/14 - We have now opened this and played it a couple times. My only complaint is that the tiles do not fit snugly in the grid. On my mother-in-laws old school board the tiles fit perfectly into the raised grid. This edition the tiles fit loosely and they jiggle around. Other than that we really enjoy it. It looks real nice and seems like it will last us a long time.

I'm glad this seller sent me the "right" version of Pearl Edition. I've already ordered with someone else who sent me a cheaper foldable board. The delivery was quick and well packaged.The Scrabble box itself was slightly bent. The board design is beautiful, but the build isn't perfect. The frame and seam look a little rough and shredded- see photo. Being a designer- my expectations are very high. Maybe I was unlucky, but I could live with this. Please don't let this discourage you. Keep in mind, returning items with Amazon is super simple.This board is the best of the special editions, in my opinion.

Visually this Scrabble board is impressive. Great silver foil stamping on the tiles. Truly pearl white board and accessories. Fun starred score book. If you're looking to upgrade from the stock Scrabble board I'd recommend this or the Typography Edition.There are however two downsides: First off the board smelled as if it just came out of a vat of varnish. It flooded the entire room with a horrible chemical smell when I first opened it and had to be left outside for three days to air off. The second thing, there doesn't seem to be any sort of quality assurance on these boards. Glue had leaked into some of the squares, the top graphic layer wasn't squarely laid on and just lots of minor things that didn't line up properly. I expected more from something at this price. It's still a good board however and I'm happy to have it in my collection.

I joined a Scrabble group and bought this game because we were tired of placing the tiles back in their proper squares. The white pearl color is so elegant. The board spins and with the small ledges around each square keep the tiles in place. The extra dashes along the side of each "special" square, indicate double & triple tile & word count, so you don't have to pick up the tiles to determine the score. The tile racks are white wood. The tiles are white plastic. I expected white wood tiles for the price, but these will probably last a lot longer. Overall, This is a very nice set.

Love it. The tiles do not wander around. I gave it only 4 stars because the tile racks are so flimsy and small. It is easy to knock tour tiles off. I do it several times a game.

I enjoy scrabble and wanted a nicer board that had the classic setup (rotating board and grid to hold tiles in place). This is a large board and it looks much nicer than the standard scrabble board. Scrabble boards are way overpriced for some reason. This was $90 but the materials still look very cheap. This should be the cost of the regular scrabble board ($40) and the regular rotating board should be $25. I like the board but don't think its worth $90 for this China junk.

Its pretty cool, it looks really sophisticated being white and all and it looks perfect as a center piece in a living room. The only thing is that it doesn't have a compartment for the accessories to be stored in like the other editions but that's not so bad.

The Board is beautiful and works well. Friends like it, too. The only thing I might say is that the rotate of the lazy susan could do so easier. It's a little rough, but works fine.
