Q: I need to mount this in 1/4" plywood panels. Product info says the maximum panel thickness is 0.197”. What should I use for a panel?

Yes, you can use the thicker plywood panel. On the backside of the panel you will need to remove some wood to make the panel thinner in that spot. There are several ways you might do this. 1) Use a spade bit. It will make the center through hole while removing material in a wider circle. This can be "cleaned up" with a sharp wood chisel if necessary. 2) Drill the hole for the switch and then remove the wood on the backside with a Dremel, with a router, or with a wood chisel. Easy!

the shaft size is .233, if you just need the knob let me know, I'm not going to use mine
