Not great but OK to keep low use batteries topped up
This comes with a solar panel and charge controller. You need a battery to charge this will not charge up phones etc from the charge unit without a battery. The one I received had the wires connected to the controller in the wrong polarity so that was a bad start. Once I figured that out I hooked the controller up to the battery then I connected the solar panel to the charge controller. It states that you have to do it this way otherwise you may damage the controller. This then gives you a readout out the current charge state and the solar output. The panel is really does not produce much power, even without any load I got just over 1 amp on a really hot day! This is sufficient at the moment in our green house setup to keep a small 12v lead acid battery topped up which in turn powers a water pump and some lights at night when needed.Overall it works but it’s not very powerful it could also do with a stand for the panel to help angle it towards the sun.

Good small solar panel, outputs expected power.
Bought to use with my solar powered automatic gate opener. Keeps the battery full constantly. Can't complain.

Doesn't work
Having been very excited to have been offered this to review since i am planning a camping trip and having some source however small of electric to charge to the phones would have been useful, you know where this is going..it doesn't work.I don't have parts to swap out and find out the cause but to be honest, the point of a review it to speak as you find and not to do the job of fault finding. Thats the makers job and the sellers job to sell stuff that works or face the reviewer mob!I followed what little instruction there was there was no paperwork included. There was a not on one side saying to connect up any battery before the array but as i was using this for the USB outlet only and not for charging a battery that was jot possible. i just connected up the phone charging battery block which was closest thing i had to a battery. It was a fairly hot sunny 23c day but the controller and the battery block all stayed innactive.Very disapponting.

It works but...
It works, not as fast as mains power but that's not surprising. Needs clear instructions to be better. The instructions it came with are a bit vague and really could do with more details. Really handy when camping for charging things up although it is slower than mains as I said earlier.
