Cured my Plantar Fascitis TWICE!
Cured my plantar fasciitis TWICE!I have had the displeasure of having plantar fasciitis due to a very high arch, twice. The first time was several years ago and I suffered through it for a couple of years until i went to a specialized shoe store and they recommended the Birkenstock arch support. It was both times cured within 4-5 months after i committed to wearing these non stop. That meant no flip flops in the summertime and a hardcore commitment to not walking around without them. I also complimented my therapy with finding a good pair of running shoes, which have a very supportive, high arch support. In my case the Asics cumulus 17: The Asics have an inherent high arch and I put the Birkenstock inserts right on top of the factory shoe liner. This created the support for my arch that I was not receiving (this is one of the main reasons why you get plantar fasciitis) and also stretched out those inflamed arch muscles. The mistake i made last time, which brought the problem back, was i went back to wearing non supportive shoes. Now that my second round is pretty much cured, my lesson learned: if I cannot wear my Asics with the Birk inserts, I will at least put the Birk inserts in every shoe I wear.Another word of advice, i tried all of the compression socks and compression bands that are being sold here, and they are junk. I think the 5 star ratings are yet another product of Chinese product marketing, hiring paid commentators to scam the Amazon system with false "perfect" reviews. I used these for several months and they were a waste of time and money. The Birks are the way to go.

I was amazed. Recently
I have a pair of these that are about 10 years old and wanted an additional pair since my old ones were getting a little flattened out and I also wanted to avoid constantly switching them from my dress shoes, athletic shoes, motorcycle boots etc. When I got my first pair, I had been suffering plantar fasciitis in my right foot for about 18 months or so. I picked them up at a local shoe store and walked out of the place with no pain for the first time in a year and a half. I was amazed.Recently, I've had plantar fasciitis in my other foot but in a different spot (more toward the heel). I wasn't sure these would help that area as much as it did the other time where the pain was more toward the front of my foot. But they once again amazed me. Honestly, I have absolutely no pain when I walk with these. I avoid going barefoot in our house now due to the fasciitis so I wear some beach style canvas shoes on the hard wood floors. I keep my old pair in those shoes and just move the new pair to whatever shoes I will be wearing. Because of these inserts, I can even wear cheap $20 Fila running shoes from Costco and they feel like a dream. I will be getting another pair at some point from Amazon since I haven't found them locally and they are the same price everywhere.$60 may seem expensive but, as I stated, my original pair are years old and still work great so the investment is worth it. The bottom is cork with a circular area of taller cork in your arch so they don't break down like gel inserts.

Completely changed my foot
I do heavy deadlifts and squats barefoot and I walk about 5 miles a day. My left foot was feeling the effects and the arch of my foot started hurting 2 years ago. It hurt everyday and it was so bad that I couldn't curl my toes on my left foot without having it cramp. This was not a hydration issue. I drink almost a gallon of water a day. Anyway, long story short, I decided to give these insoles a try since my feet always feel great when I wear my birks. In terms of size, I matched my birk size and it worked out. You want the front of the insoles to line up with your metatarsals. The insoles have symbols on the bottom. To properly place them in your shoes, you want the circles on the bottom of the insoles to be as close to one another as possible as you walk. Said another way, you want the circles on the bottom of the insoles to point toward the opposite foot. It might take a little getting used to, but I appreciated these as soon as I put them in my shoes. I've used them with leather boots, converse, nikes, brooks, and hiking boots. Fit was great in all of them. I've even worn them to the gym and done deadlifts and squats with them inserted in my flat sole shoes and it felt great. These insoles have completely changed my foot. My left foot hasn't hurt the entire week I've had them. It's amazing. Not to mention, they work in every single pair of shoes I own and I don't feel like my foot is cramped into any of my shoes while these are in there. It's incredible how much better my entire left leg feels after using these. I couldn't be happier. I recommend these to anyone experiencing arch pain or discomfort. I will update if my pain returns. However, that could be a result of overuse of the insole. This product is well worth $60.

relief
These are a good insert. I've yet to find an affordable well made pair of shoes with enough arch support for my hefty weight. Within 6 months of daily wear most tennis shoes that started out well would have me in so much pain I could barely stand, let alone walk or shop without crying. Birkenstock's are the only comfortable footwear I have found. But I really wanted to have walking shoes, I tried those green feet inserts and they offered enough relief to make it shopping but not all day wear, or even more than a couple hours, which was nice but not ideal. Then I broke down and got these and I get more time out of them and a better walk. I keep my Birkenstock Clogs at work and they keep my feet happy there and when I am out and about on the weekends these are in my shoes and no more tears. The wide is right for my flat foot, by my estimates in men's shoe's I'd wear 7 1/2 EE or EEE widths, women's 8 1/2 Wide, Europe size 39 standard/regular (not narrow, eeekk)

Works better than expected
Didn't know what to expect from these. I'd tried the $500 custom made orthodics my doctor arranged for, they sucked. Then I found the Dr. Scholls custom fit series which worked better for a few months. These are much better then either. I didn't have high expectations for the cork? like material these things use but was pleasantly surprised. Fit is important with these in terms of where the ball of your foot sits, so make sure to follow the sizing directions properly. A bit expensive, but we'll worth it for flat foots.
