Works great for repairing a loose jack on an acoustic-electric guitar. (See YouTube for instructions.)(Only one dowel is needed, so it's unfortunate so many have to be bought, but maybe the rest can be used for crafts somewhere. They're not expensive anyway.)

3/8" not straight and don't take a stain well
I wanted to stain these but they took a stain very unevenly and look mottled. I have stained other bamboo dowels just fine. Also some are warped. They are usable. I will paint over the stain. The warping will probably be okay for my intended purpose. (yes, I know preconditioning wood is sometimes needed but other bamboo dowels have taken stain beautifully)
