Really good power supply let down by fan
Had this for a couple of years now powering a bunch of 24v RGBW light strips and DMX controllers. Works great except for the fan. Was always a bit noisy but after a year it really started to sound bad and is always on. I can confirm that the 24v version has a 24v 60mm x 20mm fan. Will be modding with a new fan plus the thermo switch, probably go with the 50C.

Definitely can pull more than 500W
I got a 850VA rated UPS backup to run my 3d printer (which uses this power supply) and when I first turned on the heated bed and hotend, the UPS started beeping. This puzzled me so I plugged in a Kilo-watt to measure the draw of the UPS and it turns out that my printer any pi setup were drawing 853W at peak when they both turn on. That well above what this supply claims it can do. The power supply makes no groaning noise when it encounters this load and it handled it like a champ. I can get the heated bed from ambient to 60C in ~3 minutes. The hotend can get to 250C in under 1:30. Only downside is the fan that comes with it is pretty noisy. I fixed this on mine by kapton taping a little buck converter on the inside of the supply to the case and then replacing the fan with a 12v noctua equivalent. Now it's quiet and powerful.

Good construction but noisy
This is a well built power supply (I looked inside) with a few flaws:1) Fan is too noisy (as reported by many reviewers). I estimate that it would cost an additional $0.20 to add a temperature trigger - which I am going to do.2) The notch for the wires is cut too high. As a result, the wires are not coming straight from the connection block.3) The unit is labelled outdoor but it still need to be well protected from the elements. It is definitively not waterproof.

Works Great... Time will tell.
I just received this today and purchased it as a PSU for my 3D printer. Well it's printing as I'm typing and although the fan is louder than my old one, it doesn't seem to get hot at all. I will update my review after a few weeks of use. A bit larger than the original but still fits out of the way on my printer...Update after almost a week: I have to say this has been working great after a few dozen prints. And I wanted to say I like the sturdy design of this with the extruded aluminum case, unlike most which are made of thin, stamped steel. If I ever build another 3D printer, I will upgrade it with another one of these!!

Great power supply.
I bought it as a power supply for my battery charger. I briefly tested it out and at the load of ~19A it still holds 24V. Seems it's actually true 500W power supply. Now I set up my charger to draw at most 400W. At the load of ~17-18A it gets warm. It was also smelling for the first couple minutes. It survived ~30 minutes of that load, before current on the batteries started to decrease as they charged.I decided to solder the wires to the terminals. I believe it will make stronger connections, and I also added some hot glue as an insulation. Just in case somebody will try to pull the mains cable or stick his finger in there hah.

Great - Will output a legit 500W
I purchased this to power a DC-DC battery charger. It works well and in fact, jaw droppingly, will actually output 500W. For real. Seriously. I know I know, but seriously. Unlike most Chinese stuff where you take the advertised specifications and divide it by 100 and IF YOUR LUCKY it might actually meet those expectations.... I used this to power a charger which charged a 22.2v LiPo at over 20 amps! Voltage was stable too - varied between 24.3 and 24.0.Great product, exceptional price. Now charging a large Lithium Phosphate battery at around 300w, been going for a few hours, so far this supply is only slightly warm.Very pleased.

Power supply works fine, but fan is loud
I'm using this to power a 3D printer, and it works well for this purpose. Unfortunately the fan (60mm x 20mm 24V) is always on and relatively loud. The whole point of upgrading to 24V was to quiet my stepper motors, but the fan in this is now louder than the rest of my printer. I plan to print a new top piece that will accommodate a quiet 80mm fan which will solve this problem.

Pretty good supply.
good power supply I am using for lipo battery chargers. Fan is noisier than I would like, and runs constantly regardless of whether or not you are using a lot of power. FYI, there is no switch to turn it on or off and no place to mount connectors if you don;t want to permanently mount the unit.
